This is a very nice hotel down a quiet street near the phra gate in Chiang Mai. The pool is pretty, the breakfast good, staff friendly and across the street is a great grilled fish place. They rent bikes and scooters too. My only disappointment was the wifi. Each device needed its own passcode, you had to re login almost... More

The hotel is charming. A little dated. What's great about this place is the sweetness of the staff. Breakfast is not suited to vegetarians. Fruit and coffee if you are vegan. Otherwise you could have some yogurt.

We stayed fo 6 nights in this small, but well kept and clean hotel. Breakfast was buffee-style with enough to choose from. The location is perfect-no traffic, but close to everything. Planning to visit again!

Simply the besr hotel we stayed in the city. The location is amazong, the staff are so friendly and helpfull, the food in the hptel's resturant is great. It also has an amazing pool, and it is much cheaper then most of the hotels in Chiang Mai. We stayed in the mpst basic room, and it was great! Loved it!!!

Stayed 4 nights at Vieng Mantra. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no lift) facing the pool. The living area was enough for the two of us but the bathroom was very small and the shower curtain made the half the floor wet. The lighting in the room is very dim and although the windows are floor to ceiling,... More

The location was great. We stayed for a week, this is a gem hidden away off the main streets. With only about 24 rooms you are not rushed for breakfast or to get a seat by the pool. The facilities top end for what we wanted the pool very clean. This is not new but has aged well. The photos... More

Nice little spot not far from Phae Gate. Lots of little eateries near by along with Burger King and Starbucks on the doorstep. Beautiful local restaurant literally 10 yards from the main entrance - definitely recommend the red snapper off the bbq. Room was nice and clean with a balcony overlooking the pool. Shame it rained as we would have... More

This is a nice hotel and I'm glad we stayed. Initially I picked it because I liked the Lanna architectural style, and this did not disappoint. The pool is lovely. The location is very good - can walk to lots of stuff in the old city and also walk to the night market or take a tuk tuk there for... More

I stayed at VLM for total on 9 nights, May 28-June 6. I researched price and location and couldn't not have been happier with my choice. Had originally booked 4 nights. One day I went off to see the other hotels on my list. Returned and extended my stay another 5 nights. I cannot say enough good things about this... More

I stayed three nights at VLM and had an excellent time there. The location is perfect for exploring the city of Chiang Mai, and I was able to book all my tours directly threw the front desk. The rooms were a great size for the price and the beds were comfortable. I thought the best part of the hotel was... More
