This beautiful, intimate hotel is situated close to all main tourist sites, making it an ideal location for exploring the Old City of Chiang Mai. Despite its central location, it is tucked away in a quiet spot, providing a peaceful retreat where you can relax and enjoy some quiet time. Having visited numerous hotels worldwide, this one stands out for its stunning rooms, spacious bathrooms and exceptional service. The staff are incredibly polite and go out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay, making you feel truly welcomed and cared for. The hotel is beautifully clean and well-maintained, with very comfortable beds ensuring a restful night’s sleep. We are used to a buffet breakfast so it was a nice chance to sit and order for a menu at the Cheeva Dee. Although there are limited vegetarian options, the pancakes, fruit, and toast were extremely fresh and delicious. The food is presented with the quality and finesse of a Michelin-rated restaurant. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for its combination of comfort, excellent service, and superb location. We would stay here again if we return to Chiang Mai.

The hotel is just a stone throw away from Wat Phra Singh and the Sunday night market which is 'round the corner'. Location is superb! The room was spacious and clean. We even had an extra bed for our daughter who bunked in with us and the room was not tight with a sofa in it. Staff were very courteous, polite and friendly. They were ever ready to go the extra mile - complimentary water bottles were provided but when we requested for more, we were given without any charge. Though breakfast was not the buffet type, they had some good options for us to choose. They accommodated us to our whims and fancies, eg. more papaya, less watermelon, less yoghurt, etc We rented a car (Mazda 2) and parking was just right in front of the hotel. Bigger cars would be a challenge to park as the road is rather narrow. It being a boutique hotel, there are not many facilities offered except for the swimming pool, the usual basic amenities and complimentary bicycle rental. To sum it all, we would return to this hotel if we visit Chiang Mai again - good service, modern, clean room, perfect location.

This is a lovely little boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet spot in The Old City of Chiang Mai. We had a beautiful suite with a little balcony. Even though we were in the old city, it was a quiet section and we awoke to birds and the sounds of children at a nearby school as opposed to traffic. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful. The hotel is beautifully clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and is very good with a selection of western and thai options and plenty of fresh fruit. The coffee is superb. It is lovely to sit and have breakfast next to the pool. Last but not least, it is only 15 minutes from the airport. We would stay there again if we were to return to Chiang Mai.

Very comfortable beds and pillows. My friends complained a little about noise from the street, but I slept like a baby. The toilet in the shower was a little weird though. After showering you end up with a wet floor in the toilet area, but I handled this by laying down my used towel to walk on. Breakfast each day was included with the room and cooked fresh to order. Cappuccino was delicious. Overall I felt this hotel was a great value, and I would stay here again.

The staff were friendly, accomodating, and the rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast was great as well! The area is quiet yet near the main areas for shopping, food, massage, etc. I will stay again! Its right next to a larger hotel that is very pricey but has a similar vibe.

Reasons to stay; 1. Friendly staff 2. Extremely clean 3. Probably the most comfortable bed in a hotel I have ever experienced.
Could be improved by; 1. A warmer swimming pool. The pool is in the shade so never gets heated by the sun. It will take your breath away.
Top tip for visitors; 1. 2 for 1 cocktails at the bar before 6! A small menu but great tasting. 2. Book in for a spa treatment.
Summary; We stayed here for 6 nights and would definitely return. The staff are super friendly and very helpful, although sometimes there were a few things lost in translation, but that hardly ruined the experience. The rooms are nicely decorated, the bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable, and the bathrooms are very spacious. Breakfast was good, they do a take away box if you are doing a day trip, the club sandwich was the bomb. We booked in for the honeymoon spa package which was a 2.5 hour treatment. It wasn’t the cheapest massage in Chiang Mai but it was definitely worth the money. It’s a tall statement but I would say it’s the best massage Iv ever had. The location was ideal, it easy to get around, and it’s tucked down a side street so you don’t have the noise of traffic whizzing by however there is a primary school across the road. For some completely random reason they use a PA system to teach the kids. It starts at around 8.45 and goes on for about 30 mins. Yes you can here it from inside your room, it’s quite loud. But i can’t say it disturbed our stay. We were out of bed doing day trips and wandering around the city by that time of the day anyway.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s cute AF. It’s ideal for couples, not so much lone travellers as we didn’t meet anyone else staying in the hotel.

We spent four nights of our two and half week Thai holiday here. We arrived via taxi following a flight from Bangkok (not far from the airport). The hotel itself is located on the west side of the old city and is just around from the Wat Phra Singh (Gold Temple). Most things are walking distance (we walked laps around the old city, although it’s a long walk). Lost of shops and facilities nearby including shops for snacks etc.
We were greeted then escorted up to our room which was located at the back of the hotel. We had a window that looked out onto the internal Corridor but no external windows. The room is large and spacious with a huge and beautifully decorated bathroom. The bed/pillows were super comfortable and the sheets were clean.
The pool area is great and is kept very clean. My only disappointment is that the area is heavily shaded by the over-hang of the rooms above. There is also very limited places to lie down (no loungers), but instead they have large seats/chairs.
There are push bikes available at the hotel to ride around, although we did not utilise these.
The breakfast was not included in our booking but we had it on our first morning at an extra cost. It was delicious! Fresh fruit, gorgeous healthy take on a full English and the staff attending at breakfast were wonderful! The coffee is great too!
In general staff as very polite and greet guests as they come and go. Very helpful with most general enquires etc. They seem to speak relatively good English.
If your staying over a weekend, the Sunday market is most definitely a must and is very close by! It goes on for miles! So much food to taste and traditional wears to look through.
I only have one negative that unfortunately makes this review a four rather than a five... and that is the school located opposite the hotel entrance. First thing in the morning, VERY LOUD music, singing and children screaming down a loud speaker is not how we wish to be woken. It is so unfortunate that this is the case as even though we were staying at the back of the hotel, we could still hear everything very clearly.

We checked in at Cheeva Dee for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay! The hotel is modern and very clean. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to accomodate to our needs, and the reception desk was open 24/7.
We included the breakfast in our stay, and had great meals by the pool each morning! The pool area was lovely for a quick swim.
Our room was very spacious and had a huge comfortable bed. It was beautifully clean each day after the cleaning service.
The location was great, it was very close to loads of restaurants and right around the corner from Sun Rays, a beautiful breakfast/lunch spot.
We would definitely stay here again when in Chiang Mi, it was a lovely experience!

Just a couple of minutes walk from Wat Phra Singh, Cheeva Dee is located in a quiet part of the Old Town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep.
English is somewhat limited among the staff, but the service is good and very friendly.
The pool area is a lovely place to relax, albeit slightly cold (no solar heating) and with no lounges (only couches).
Rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are very comfortable.
Bathrooms are spacious, although the toilet inside the shower area is a bit strange.
Amenities are bit a lacking (spa not currently open, no gym, a la carte breakfast instead of buffet), but to be expected in a small hotel.
Overall, an quaint small hotel with a great location.
