The hotel is located in a small alley parallel to a very busy road, but there is absolute peace in it. All the equipment is thoughtful, aesthetic and functionally decorated in black and white shades. I had a wonderful, clean, spacious room with a modern, large bathroom. The room has everything you need in terms of ecological awareness - instead of plastic glass water bottles, natural packaging materials, eco-friendly cleaning products, ... The breakfast is excellent, with an emphasis on vegetarian food, in short, I am impressed BRAVO for the attitude of the owner with the motto: Less is more!

Very nice hotel, lovely swimming pool. The rooms are not large but neat and there is everything you need, including unlimited cold water, coffee and tea. Employees are super friendly, arrange everything you want and speak good English.

The location is close to the ancient city and the Saturday night market. It is convenient to call a taxi and the distance is short. The breakfast is not much but changes daily. There are many trees in the shade, so the room is not too hot due to direct sunlight. Although there is no bathtub, the bathroom is large and coffee, boiled water, fruits and snacks are provided 24 hours a day.

‘Less is more’, I love it!!! At iWualai, service is excellent and beyond my expectation. Staffs are friendly, helpful with service-minded. They work well as an integrated team. Breakfast seems to have limited varieties when compared with luxury hotel but ‘Less is more’ plays its role. To me, breakfast is another great thing here at iWualai. They have what I look for, i.e. cleanliness, good taste with good quality. In addition, the menus are different on each day. There are huge fridges in the dinning room where you can have fresh salad, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice and chilled stuff. What a great idea!!
Location is superb located in the heart of Chiangmai right on Saturday walking street. Room is clean with sufficient space and nice bed. Bottle water is provided sufficiently in the room but if you need more, you can freely get from the big fridges in the dinning room or refill from the machine. Bathroom has the perfect size with natural ventilation.
Apart from the aforementioned, this hotel is environmentally friendly.

Cute boutique type hotel close to nightly food stalls and 7/11s. Saturday night market outside front door. Easy walk into old town. Friendly helpful staff and great breakfast with lots of options. Coffee machine was a bonus. The only complaints were bed mattress was hard and you could feel the springs. Housekeeping started at 7.30am and we're quite noisy, talking and moving empty water bottles from rooms. Rooms are not soundproof and you could hear next doors sounds. Would definately stay again but it would be even better if improvements were made.

Great hotel with relaxed co working vibe Rooms have fluffy towels, good lighting, sliding net doors so you can have windows open without insects getting in, good comfy bed, v good shower. All the things a traveller likes. Staff are fabulous. Upbeat and friendly. Breakfast is exemplary- cooked by a conscientious chef. Great buffet and all day coffee, water and snacks on a help yourself basis. The pool is a refreshing dip pool- always clean and the garden is leafy and shady with birdsong. The kind of place you want to spend time at.

Everything is great, except for the wall is not soundproof, can hear opening and closing door noises. Highly suggest to bring earplugs. Everyday breakfast is different, Thai curry noodles, fried vegetables, fried rice, mango sticky rice and 24/7 water, fruit and coffee.

The staff was awesome, the room was modern and clean with direct access to the pool, the breakfast buffet was very good and changing everyday (yummy cakes, skewers, mango sticky rice). In addition, free drinking water was available to refill water bottles (only time I saw it in an asian hotel, very eco friendly) and snacks, tea/coffee, fruits available for free all day. The only thing to know but it can't be changed is that the sun is on the pool lounge chair area only a couple hours a day.

This hotel has several advantages. It is architecturally pleasant. There is parking space for your car or your motorbike. Coffee and water, and maybe some crackers are available 24/24 for guests. Your can leave your luggage if you check out but then want to go around Chiang Mai for a while, and then have a coffee and even a shower when you are ready to go to the aiport, and they will be happy to get you a taxi! Rooms are nice and spacious, pleasant and simple. Staff are lovely and helpful. One thing that we noticed is that you can hear noises drom the neighbouring rooms, but this did not stop us from having a good sleep. Finally, the hotel is located near a busy street, but away from the traffic, just outside the old city walls. Choosing the right part of the city is always importante bout more so in Chiang Mai. And an additional advantage: if you book one of the many tours that go to the Doi Inthanon national park, you will be almost certainly the latest pick up in the morning and the first drop off in the evening.
