Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous little hotel on the canal, close to lots of attractions. It has a pool, comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The taxi will drop you off by a bridge and you have to walk about 50m to the hotel. Definitely recommend if you don’t want to stay in a big 5* star hotel.

Nice small hotel 10 minuet walk away from the madness of Khao san road. rooms clean but basic could do with a kettle. I’ve stayed here 2012 when restaurant was open much better atmosphere about the place then they have move it about 100 meters up the road although breakfast is still served the bar area is not often staffed you have to ask rather than just walk up and order. Still a nice place and good value

Hotel was in an ok location not far from Khao San and it was fine but there are better hotels in Bangkok. Room was fine but bathroom was not in great condition and the shower was poor. Breakfast was fine but small selection. Staff helpful but not as friendly as I have experienced elsewhere.

This hotel was definitely one of my favorites I stayed in while I was in Thailand. It was so charming and had a great location, walkable to a couple of attractions and along a fun canal. I loved it so much I stayed there twice, once at the beginning of my trip and again at the end. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, such a great variety of food choices. The pool was just the perfect thing to cool down after a long day in the heat.

The staff are great. The pool is very inviting and cooling. The rooms were big enough for two (I don't know about families. But, I did see a family of 4 there). The seating area around the pool had sun and shade for those of us who can't take too much exposure. The internet was good enough. Just don't expect to log into Netflix and watch a movie. My top tips are. 1. Eat at the family restaurant outside. The menu is small but by goodness delicious and cheap. 2. The 7 11 across the street we'll sell drinks for far more than the little local shop to the right just after the coffee shop. 3. Go right outside the hotel. 4. Get the grab app. You will save so much time and money.

This guesthouse is in a great location very close to the Khao San Road area but also far enough away for some peace and quiet. It's right by one of the canals and has a lovely local feel with a small market just a minute walk away. We had a large corner room on the third floor which had great views over canal and nearby rooftops. Room very clean and light with a large shower room and separate sink area. The pool is a decent size but maybe needed a few more sun loungers around it. Staff very helpful and were able to organise a reasonably priced taxi for our trip to airport. You need to bear in mind that cars can't drop you off here as a pedestrian area but just a minute walk to the road. A bit of a shame that the on site restaurant has now moved 200 metres further along the canal but they do a good breakfast there and there are a number of other local shops and cafes within a few mins walk. Overall a great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle and sky scrapers of Bangkok.

We are having a five night stay at this great hotel. It’s clean, tidy and comfortable with everything that you could reasonably want to ensure a stay in the area is enjoyable. Superb swimming pool that is scrupulously clean and well maintained. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Plenty of hot drinks provided in the foyer and lounging/pool areas, with a constant supply of fresh, delicious bananas. A supply of free bottled water (an essential in the hot, humid climate) and lots of other thoughtful touches. Rooms very clean and well serviced with great air conditioning (another essential), the all important beds, pillows and linen, all to a highly comfortable standard. Superb value and far beyond what we expected for the bargain price.

I stayed here for 3 nights, I really liked it, I felt really cozy and the area is very calm therefore there was no noise at all. The pool was good, not so big but enough, I enjoyed it. The only thing you must take into account is the location - it is not so close to any metrostation. This proves to be a problem, because walking 20 minute in Bangkok is different than walking 20 minutes in Europe (I did not know but the pavements are in bad condition, there are barely any street lights and people will not stop at crosswalks, you have to run). And then I thought Grab/Bolt would do the work but simply it is impossible to find a ride when it is raining or rush hour. I had to wait for extremely long time after taking airport link train to the last station and waiting to find a car to drive me the last 3 km to the hotel. So next time I would book something closer to metro to avoid this problem. Sorry and sad because the hotel itself was lovely and you can go on foot to Khao San Road but for the other attractions, you need some transport.

Location was great, only 15 minutes walk to Kao San Road, but a little further from the nearest MRT. Staying along the canal embankment is lovely- and nice to watch the giant fish and lizards swimming about. The rooms were so so, our shower was constantly blocked and flooded the floor. The Aircon was really freezing no matter what temperature it was set at. There was no restaurant facilities and often very few staff at all. The reception desk guy was helpful.

We used this as a base whilst in Bangkok. It is setback 20m from the road, accessed along a path where the road crosses a canal. It was good value, with clean and comfortable rooms. Communal areas were welcoming. Helpful staff. The pool was a bonus. The location was ideal to see the main sights. The Ducklong cafe, about 50m from the hotel, was excellent for breakfast. No hesitation to recommend.
