I recently stayed at the Picnic Hotel and think it’s an ideal place for travelers who are looking for something affordable without compromising on certain factors like cleanliness or location! This 3* hotel is definitely better than most options you’ll find in this category, mainly because the rooms are clean and spacious, and if you are a budget traveler, backpacker, coming in a group trip or family and want to keep accommodation costs down then definitely choose this hotel! The room is equipped with everything you may need to spend your time in Bangkok nicely and their location is also very nice as its very close to the BTS station which is the public transport network consisting of the sky trains in Bangkok! They also have great food promotions that are affordable and the quality of food is also very good. I tried a few things and think it’s quite decent and well worth the price! The breakfast menu is also quite extensive and freshly prepared and all the staff members are friendly and ready to assist every guest at all times! Their room types are better than any other places you’ll find in Bangkok for this price range and the area it is located in is decent as well which is not always the case if you seek out a 3* hotel usually. You can walk to many retail and recreational areas, restaurants and cafes and overall it’s a fairly decent and lively location! Would definitely recommend it to everyone looking for very good 3* hotels in the capital city of Thailand!

I can’t stress enough how pleased I am to have pick this hotel during my birthday week. I made an initial reservation on their website last October because I know for sure this hotel will be booked during the holidays, unfortunately I don’t have enough funds to cover the cost of the reservation but to my surprise they were able to keep my booking at the same rate when I made the full payment. (I’m so grateful for this)

I arrived in the hotel like around 8AM hoping I could get an early check in, but the room is not yet available – no hard feelings though, I am expecting it. The lady who assisted me, had me registered and advised to comeback around 12NN/1PM. I came back from Chatuchak Weekend Market at around past 11AM and to my surprise the room is already available, heading to room 405 I have no idea if my room was upgraded but it was facing the park beside it, along that was a surprise greeting in my bed, I mean what more can I ask, a superb room and a nice view outside, and this - housekeeping is cleaning your room everyday with a refill of bottle water.

I’ve chosen a room with a breakfast that comes with it. The breakfast was not as many options, but I must say that both the noodles and chicken dish option was delicious for me, I mean could eat that everyday although the chicken as a bit spicy its tolerable enough for me. You have a coffee, tea, or juice option for your morning fill. There are also cereals, bread, salad bowl if you like. The food option my not be great but they are tasty for my simple taste.

Lastly, I would like to thank the hotel for a super stay. Closed Victory Monument BTS, you have more than one 7Eleven in the vicinity, street foods everywhere, hotel staff that are willing to help - I mean what else can you as for, really accommodation and service worth of a 5-star hotel.

Second time to stay in this accommodation for an upcoming birthday of a friend and experience was still great and will still stay in the future. Check in was still easy, just that considering my second time personally we can check in when we arrive but that’s reasonable and we just roam the city for a before checking in.

We were provided a room with 2 beds on the second floor as facing the park – good enough as we can just use the stairs going up and down. Room is as comfortable as my first stay but one thing I notice was the pillows was not soft or as comfortable to sleep on. Overall room/amenities are as adequate, also room service is done every day, water is being replenish every day.

I do not expect much of the choices of food in the restaurants – it does do it purpose to fill up for a day to explore BKK but not excellent. I still love the noodles that’s present every day some breakfast staples.

Overall given the price and service I will still stay in this hotel. This hotel has a lot of potential.

My recent stay at the Picnic Hotel was a journey of mixed emotions, beginning with an unfortunate welcome but gradually improving as the days passed. Upon arrival, my encounter with the evening male receptionist was less than ideal. After a group was assisted before me, I approached the receptionist, only to be ignored for about 10-15 minutes as he busied himself with what seemed like non-urgent paperwork. This initial interaction took a more uncomfortable turn when he conversed and laughed with the bellboy in Thai, possibly at my expense, which felt mocking and unwelcoming. It was not until I spoke up about my booking that I received a belated and somewhat jocular acknowledgment. The room provided a stark contrast to the reception experience. It was satisfactory, with daily housekeeping ensuring cleanliness, although there was a consistent oversight in replacing towels, requiring us to make several requests. The room emanated freshness, however, the bathroom's condition was a notch below, detracting from the overall comfort. The redeeming aspect of our stay emerged through interactions with other staff members, notably a bellboy named Off. His assistance in arranging a carpool service at an affordable rate, coupled with his amiable demeanor, shifted our perspective. The warmth extended by the female receptionist and the security personnel, who helped us cross the street one afternoon, painted a picture of hospitality that we had initially hoped to see upon arrival. In reflection, the adage "first impressions don't always last" resonates deeply with my experience at the Picnic Hotel. Despite a disheartening start, the kindness and helpfulness of other staff members managed to salvage our stay, reminding us that one unpleasant encounter does not define the entirety of a hospitality experience.

Went to the restaurant at this hotel tonight. Had a look at he buffet food but decided against it as the food looked dry and looked as though it had been on display for a while. Took the more expensive option of ordering a la carte and was disappointed to see the chef selecting my order from the buffet and serving it as a la carte. I tried to protest to the server but claimed to not understand me. Funnily enough, they didnt have any trouble understanding me before that when ordering drinks. As expected, the food was dry and re heated. Very, very disappointing

Stay here for 3 nights. Booked for Double room with city view but have to stay in the room without view LIKE a box, they have door, window BUT was sticked and blur totally, can't get any fresh air or sunny inside the room, totally dark like you are staying in the box. Just image who got Claustrophobia, how they feel and scared...

When complaing about wrong room type, I recheived the feedback as I was upgrade to other room type bigger cause they was fully booked without any information, they didn't confirm the booking or inform they upgrade. BUT you don't get the point, I booked and wanna received the right one.

Breakfast is fine, but not fresh.

Especially, room is not cleaned, mold around bathroom, bathtub that made us feel dirty, strong smell, drained smell everywhere, even in the room and outside the hotel lobby ( sitting in terrace for street sightseeing but can't stand it). The receptionist in night time is nice when explaining the issues but some when checking in and check out is NOT.

We stayed at 2 triple rooms at Picnic Hotel and we didn't expect that it will be so spacious. There's a queen bed and a single bed plus a huge living area with a big couch. The staff are courteous, will always greet you, give you what you need and take care of your luggage for you. The beds are nice and the hotel lobby is always smelling fresh. It is close to BTS, Century Mall, King Power Duty Free, restaurants and street foods. All in all, we had a great stay!
