Stayed here earlier on this month and would highly recommend. Situated down a quiet soy, yet a stones throw away from good restaurants and market stalls. Very near Khao San Road and also a port to catch a river taxi (great way to see the city). Within walking distance (for a young, fit couple) of most major attractions. Rooms were...

This hotel is located in a soi off the paved walking street in front of Kaho San road. Banhkok's most famous street for backpackers is just 2 minutes walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the paved walking street and they are more quiet and relax than the ones on Kaho San. There are plenty of travel...

I would recommend this hostel to backpackers that choose location over comfort. The room wasn't that big and the bathroom wasn't any bigger. We were on the 5th floor so you gotta enjoy doing some stairs to get to your room. On a few occasions you can hear some karoake bars at night or some noisy teenagers on the floor....

Stayed here with my wife and I no major complaints about this place. The rooms are cheap, they are plenty big enough, decent shower, a TV, adequate WIFI, clean and the rooms are quiet as it's set away from the main streets. Only minor complaints are the beds aren't the best and there is no safe in the room. Although,...

We arrived early in the morning. Since the room wasn't ready yet, the staff told us to have breakfast and be back 30 minutes later to check in. When we got back, they had already brought our luggage to our room. Really kind of them. The location was great, within walking distance from the main sights in Bangkok. There were...

It's a good place. Clean bedrooms and toilets. Staff is distant but helpful nonetheless. Location is very good, super close to Khaosan but far enough from its hassle. Just a stone throw from Phra Athit Rd which imo is much better.

This place has small rooms which are functional but clean and feel secure. Front desk is friendly and, if you look hard, you will see the free coffee and biscuits. It is on a small lane that leads from Ram Buttri street towards the river. Not a bad place... let's say basic-plus.

Because it is located in a small road, there is no noise at all, but just walk 3 minutes and you are in the area with shops, restaurants, bars,... and near Khaosan Road. In addition you have all services : travel booking, currency exchange at good rates,.. The staff is also very nice. You do not have safe in the...

Stayed here for 3 nights on the first leg of travelling around Thailand, very good stay. Had twin room on the 5 th floor (no lift so the stairs were a killer). Price was good and room was simple. It also had air conditioning which is a must in Bangkok. Shower was very powerful. Maid service came every day with...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
