This is a lovely guesthouse just off the main drag and within two block walk of Starbuck's. The clerks were friendly and spoke fair English. The breakfast was excellent and I enjoyed meeting expatriated Americans and Brits who make this their vacation home away from their homes in other parts of Thailand. I am a woman over 50 who frequently...

We stayed here for one night during a stop over in Bangkok. We booked it due to its proximity to the embassy to collect our passports. The guesthouse is a bit dated but had free wifi which reached all the rooms, a nice (and cheap) restaurant and the staff we couldn't fault, they were fantastic. We were able to check...

I was backpacking across Thailand and this place was a perfect find. Awesome staff and the rooms were suitable considering the price. The big thing this place has going for is its location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! We felt safe and comfortable and their restaurant on the bottom floor is pretty darn good as well! I would stay here again.

Firstly make sure that you have a detailed map, written in Thai, to give to the taxi driver or he will not be able to find this well-concealed place. However once you arrive it is hard to find fault: 1. Rooms are comfy and quite large for Thai standards, with a king size bed for just a little extra (recommended)...

The room was very nice for the price. The breakfasts were good. There's a lot to do in the area, although it's (food and drinks) a bit pricey compared to other parts of Bangkok. They have a laundry service and the staff was very nice. The bed was comfortable.

I live in N. Thailand and whenever I go thru BKK, this is my hotel of choice. A bit hard to find if you've never been there, sure, as it's not on the main road. Seedy venues nearby, sure, but this is BKK. It's absolutely safe in the area and I feel more comfortable there than in say, Detroit, KC,...

This is a simple hotel with no real facilities but I still like it. The staff are VERY friendly and helpful and the deluxe rooms a good size and the shower and plumbing etc work ok. Tea/coffee in room. The wifi was only good occasionally, but mostly useable, and when it went off they put a lot of effort into...

This hotel is nearly impossible to find. My friend arrived first and his taxi drove him around and up and down the street forever trying to find the place and the same thing happened to me. The location is so so..its very near to the Soi Cowboy which I found revolting and disturbing. The service was very good the room...

Just off of Sukhumvit road, near the Asoke skytrain station makes it hard to pass up location wise. Great options for breakfast in the morning. We also had a relatively large room for a hotel. Water was warm but had low pressure. All and all it was a great stay.

Pros: fridge in room, air con, free wifi, complimentary water in your room & not any roaches/mozzies in sight. Friendly staff. Breakfast included, which was ok. Cons: The bed was slightly hard, could feel the mattress springs, although this was only slight. & pillows lumpy! Although there was aircon this didn't work fully; I couldn't seem to get it to...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
