This stay was one of our favorites throughout our entire trip. We booked it last minute , as we arrived into Bangkok at about 1am. We were greeted with open arms and there was no issue with booking so late. The owner and her employees...More
Stayed here because of the reviews and was not disappointed. The staff was amazing, going above and beyond the call of duty. The owner greeted us with a welcoming smile even though we booked it last minute and arrived in the middle of the night....More
I guess this is one of the problems with Trip Advisor - most reviews tend to be positive, which can lead to expectations greater than reality.
From our reading of reviews we were expecting a charming, comfortable and warm experience. We didn't get this.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is handy to the river and transport to all the main sites and shopping. The rooms are air conditioned and very clean. A wonderful place to stay.
Every time we come to Bangkok we like to stay at the Baan Chantra. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so friendly, helpful and attentive. They helped us to make various travel arrangements while we there and made recommendations too. The location...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Dear sir or madam, Thank you for your interest in Baan Chantra, the non smoking boutique guesthouse near Khao San Road. As we are a small guesthouse of 6 rooms, we do not have a transit rate. However, I recommend a special 30% room rate for the standard twin room at bht. 1500 nett for cash payment (check in at 8 am and check out at 8 pm the same day) Kindly reconfirm this and I am pleased to make the booking for you

Thank you for your interest in Baan Chantra, the non smoking guesthouse near Khao San Road. Our Superior room is upstairs with balcony facing Samsen Road. while our Standard room is smaller with twin beds and is downstairs. The standard room has a window opening to the Library which will be closed at night time and is considered more quieter though we have a double glazed window for the Superior room upstairs. However due to the wooden structure of the old house, the noise from the street can still come in a little
