After reading a few reviews, I was quite skeptical in coming here! Myself and one other friend shared a room with a "toilet and shower". We also had A\C which was great! It is in an ideal spot, walking distance to some great attractions and of course close to Khoasan road! Close to the markets and great street food! Rooms...

Beware! The rooms do not look like those on their website at all! The rooms are dirty and smelly. The A/C blows out ice in the middle of the night. The wall is so thin you can hear everything outside the room. It was nightmare for us since our room is located near the stairs so we can hear footsteps...

Booked 2 nights stay at the inn with good deals. I was expecting the same room as I saw in the internet. When we arrived, the receptionist didn't even smile to us. Probably it was her PMS day. Didn't bother it that much until we saw the room. Small, smelly and dirty! We barely can walk inside the room. Stayed...

I payed the 900BHT for the 4 night stay! Stayed only for ONE NIGHTT!!The rooms was so bad, and smelt like mildew, that luckily I had some Tea Tree oil and put it on the wall, fan, and bedding, to make the smell bearable. For my sleeping, the springs on the bed were broken, and good luck trying to get...

My original hotel choice was fully booked so I walked around for a bit and ended at Sawasdee Smile Inn, it doesn't look as bad from the entrance and they gave me quite a good deal. The room was tiny and not very clean. As soon as I turned the lights off to go to sleep, I started hearing some...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
