I went to Bangkok for work and took along my husband for a brief weekend stay. The location of the hotel is just perfect, at walking distance from the MRT station and the Phat Gong Market. Other touristy areas were also comparatively closer. We got a good price deal on Agoda.com and enjoyed our stay in a one bedrom suite....

I used to live in Bangkok and was a member of the Cascades health club within the Ascott, so I love to stay here when in Bangkok for a few days or more. The one bedroom suites are large, comfortable and well equipped. They represent good value for money. What sets this establishment apart from others for me, is the...

The best thing about this hotel is the intimate, fresh pool area. The pool itself is quite small, but that was no problem getting a place to sit or lay down in the sun. The bar and restaurant beside the pool offered good, but a little bit expensive food and beverage (as expected). The room was huge (!), but the...

The Ascott Sathorn is truly wonderful. We spent a few weeks in Bangkok again recently, stayed in three different hotels and Ascott was the standout. The apartments are roomy, modern and well maintained. Full kitchen facilities allows for home cooking if you are that way inclined, although the room service menu is very good. Just booked another seven nights for...

My family of 5 stayed in the two bedroom apartment for 2 nights, and it was much more than we expected. The apartment was huge! Bigger than most two-bedroom condos back home. The shower/bathroom was nice and clean; the beds were very comfortable. A/C worked well and the temperature of each room could be controlled separately. The hotel should update...

My recent stay at The Ascott Sathorn Bangkok was extremely pleasant. I was on a short trip with my wife and we stayed a total of 3 nights in a One Bedroom Premier apartment. Floor space was extremely generous. There was a huge dining cum living area which we loved because we can have our own space. While one is...

I just finished 2 weeks into a 4 month stay at the Ascott. I would not have checked in again had it not been a great hotel. The staff here is amazing and try to work with residents in order to make sure they have everything they need. The gym is called the Cascade Club. It is amazing and beautiful....

Stayed here with the wife 2 weeks ago - over a wkend. Warm and friendly staff, superb room and amenities, less than a kilometer walk to the BTS trains, near Health Land Spa (great place for a massage) and great value for money. I will stay here everytime I visit BKK :-)

The hotel is fantastic. The staff is incredible. The gym is the best that Bangkok has to offer. The only problem with the hotel and this affects business travelers only and not families on holiday, is that the hotel is not up to date with technology. The Sony TV's are larger than anything I have seen in 20 years yet...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
