Private single rooms are really cheap; pretty nice with mosquito nets, A/C and free wifi and the shared bathrooms are really clean. In a great part of the city, walking distance to some beautiful parks, and only 100THB Uber to Khao San.

I know Thailand is beautiful, but does not seem to Bangkok, it's like a European city, the prices are very high, luxury palaces but in the streets it smells like poverty and degradation, I did not like at all. The hostel's location is very good, in a connected area with trains at all, is located in Silom area, many pubs...

Have been travelling to Bangkok quite a bit of years and for the first few years, this would be the only place I ever stayed at. At the end of the day, it is a hostel...so please keep that in mind! Location is right next to patpong night markets and you can't really complain about what you get for what...

The location on TripAdvisor is currently incorrect. It is actually on Si Lom Rd, close to the Cloud 47 all the nighttime crazyness. While the location is great, the conditions in the hotel itself are rather poor. The place looks and feels dirty. The pictures they have on google maps are completely misleading. It is just ugly. But it was...

The place is near the Silom MRT which is good. The hostel is ok, if you are not a really picky traveler. Laundry was just 40฿, at least they have one, instead of looking for any laundry shop which is quite hard to find. Around the place, you can eat whatever you like. Lots of street food available, and are...

Great budget hostel, lovely lady that runs the place very helpful and friendly. Ideally located behind Silom road. I only used the room for around 5 hours whilst in BANGKOK as I had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport!

Cheap hostel in a great location in Silom and right next to the skytrain and lumphini park. It's a relaxed, quiet hostel close to everything you need. The woman who works there Pai is such a lovely person and makes you feel very welcome. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

It was my first guesthouse where I lived three days. Nice location in the middle of the Silom road. In my room was a conditionair and bed. All what I need. Free wifi and laundry. A lot of massage servise near the urban age.

At 4£ a night you can't complain. Great location next to loads of popular hostels and street food, and a few minutes to the sky train and lumphini park. Friendly staff, bit of a flight of stairs to walk up to the dorm. Perfect for one night on a budget, wouldn't stay here if it's super hot because they turn...

Stayed in the Siamese Twin room for 2 nights with a mate. The location of this hostel is very good with a skytrain station very close by and a lot of the major bus routes stop pretty much right outside. There is also a reasonable sized night market and food market within a couple of minutes walk. That's pretty much...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
