Dear willsmith9146, Thank you very much for your review. It must be some time ago that you stayed with us here at Livingstone's Lodge - as you mention the curfew. We had curfews after the coup in 2006 and the demonstrations in 2010. We also remember those days - very special for our customers and for us. A small community...

I friend of mine recommended this hotel to me so my girlfriend and I stayed in Livingstones Lodge for about 10 days. The hotel is located right in Bangkok, only 3 minute walk to the Sky Train at the busy Sukhumvit road. It is right in the middle of Bangkok but it really is a little oasis. Surrounded by high...

Dear M_Fluss, Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a long review about our hotel. We are very pleased that you liked staying with us. As you mentioned our food - we are right now in the process of changing our menu. We usually do that once a year. Dishes that were not much requested during...

Livingstone's Lodge is an outstanding place to stay. First, let me state the following for your consideration, this place is excellent for many but not all. I have stayed here on seaveral occasions in the past as well as this summer. I tend to like the smaller owned hotels, and have found the service to be better and I place...

Dear Mr. B., We very much appreciate your review and the valuable information you provide for travelers. Thank you very much for that. You mention our location, and indeed it could not be much better. It's a 400 m walk to the Prompong Skytrain station, a major shopping center (Emporium) is also 400 m away, there are many smaller shops...

I checked into Livingstones last week on the recommendation of a friend, and found it to be a GREAT relaxing little place in the middle of all the action. The owner is full of friendly advice, the staff are helpful, and the decor reminds me of a safari. If you are looking for glistening marble floors and glass elevators, then look...

Dear Sharky S, Thank you very much for your kind review. We try to improve the quality of our hotel every day, and the reviews help us to learn about the customer needs. You are right, glistening marble floors and glass elevators are missing here ... we are a small hotel, the rooms are all on the first floor of...

This is a Great Place to have a nice meal by the pool! No matter what I order on the menu, the taste and presentation is very good, the atmosphere very relaxing. As the website says, an oasis in the middle of soi 33 I recommend it as a great outdoor dinner place

This little hotel is place in Sukhumvis Soi 33 and for me it's a great location. First of all you will find everything necessary within 5 minutes walk and it's easy to access the BTS (skytrain) station Phrom Phong. I really love the flexibility and the service at this place. This was my 7th visit to Livingstone and I will...

This boutique hotel right in the center of Bangkok is like a private house and is definitely not your average hotel and only has 16 rooms so be sure to book well in advance - the restaurant is around the swimming pool so after ordering breakfast you can jump in the pool until your breakfast arrives. The friendly manager Guido...

I have been coming to this hotel on and off for five years. During my first few stays, I am embarrassed to say, I didn't notice the other "activities" the place is noted for previously on this forum. It's not in your face so I kept booking because of the location. Besides the other "activities", I have really noticed the...

I have stayed here a number of times. The rooms are somewhat clean, staff is friendly. Security is ok, food is above average, bar on premises is ok. The location is amazing, surrounded by ample joints to party and do 'stuff'. The owner Guido is a delight to talk to, very enterprising one would say. The staff is pretty helpful. Definitely not value for money though. you can get better rooms in Bkk for lesser amount. I mean there's no reason for the premium they charge. The pool...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
