It is neat and clean but space is very little . There is only bed inside the room and bathroom is also very small. You can't lock the bathroom. They also keep some books in the room. Toiletries are limited. But Internet is very fast here.

Stayed here after two friends recommended it! Many people used this as a base for their travels around Bangkok. We stayed for a couple of nights and upgraded from a shared bath to private for more comfort. Basic lodging with aircon (basic is with fan only) and shower/toilet jn room (basic is shared). Wifi is good. Doors lock from the...

Shanti Lodge is a great place to stay if you want to be in Bangkok, experience a lot of the city, and not be overwhelmed by the tourist areas. The rooms are basic, but the price reflects this. The restaurant is very lovely and is open early to late - try the muesli for breakfast with fruit! Pie at the...

We stayed next door for 5 days and ate here almost daily. The atmosphere in here is so nice and aesthetically pleasing. The food is also of superb taste and quality. The problem is the servers deem to refuse to write orders down. Every time we ate here one of our dishes came missing something we specifically ordered or would...

My Son Shamsher found this place, and when I first arrived, I was a might apprehensive of the "homely" exterior and public space that I saw. But then I gradually began to appreciate that homely means comfortable. No Chrome and marble exterior here, but a heart of gold. My room was simple and without a window, but with attached bath...

I didn't actually stay here but me and my dad stopped here for food twice while we stayed nearby. The restaurant was lovely with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately they got my order wrong on the first night, I didn't mind too much as the food they brought over was still really good and anyone can make a...

Nice looking hotel in a more quiet part of Bangkok. Staff is really friendly and helpful, room was neat with a comfortable bed! We enjoyed our time here and will come back if and when we return to Bangkok.

We absolutely loved the Shanti Lodge. The banyan out front dripping ambiance at the entrance to this eclectic chill space. Happy is one of the owners who is very friendly, kind, and extremely welcoming. Staff is amazingly honest. We accidentally left money in the pocket of our shirt in the laundry and it was returned with our laundry. Food had...

Perfect! As good as Bangkok gets. 20+ trips to Thailand and this guest house at the end of a 6 week trip. We absolutely loved it. Great location, an easy walk from Khao San and Rambuttri Rds almost on the river and flower market river jetty, so it's easy to get everywhere. A nice " local" style st, clean, no...

I stayed in the hostel the days after i arrived for the first time in Bangkok. It is not the cheapest one, but it is like a oasis in the big City where you really can relax after the stressful flight or Start exploring the City. It just takes around 15-20 Minuten walking to the Main part oft the City...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
