Our room was directing on Khao San road, above a bunch of nightclubs. Completely impossible to sleep before 2-3am. It is actually as if we were in the nightclub, because walls and windows are way too thin to attenuate the sound. (actually the window frame was half broken). Earplugs do not help neither, it is way too loud.

The bed and room are quite comfy but the atmoshphere are quite noisy. Within the price i think we derserve for what we pay for. There is a night market neaby, where you can access by 3-5mn waliking. Overall, good for budget traveller

Spent three nights here on our way from the islands to Cambodia and really loved it! Apart from the staff being pretty unfriendly, the actual hotel is great! Really clean rooms and a nice bathroom. If you get a room looking out on the street unfortunately the music is extremely loud but it stops at around 2am so isn't the...

Stayed here at the last minute for a night, fair enough the place is being renovated so you have to allow a certain amount of discrepancy but when I arrived I was told I had to pay extra to upgrade room as my original room wasn't available. I arrived into the windowless room and I had to pay extra for...

The hotel was actually a pleasant surprise. The room on first appearance was nice, spacious and clean. The first night was quiet and we weren't disturbed by the renovation works. The pool was a tad overcrowded but ok if you're prepared to wait by the bar for a sun lounger. On the second and third night I was woken up...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
