This hostel was a disco, but it did not bother me. It was clean and the location was perfect. The music always stops at 2 a.m. so it didn't bother me at night. The staff was friendly and the pool on the roof is as extra plus. When you come out of your hostel there's a great atmosphere right away....

We had a terrible one night stay here. The following things made this one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in: 1. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: they didn't appear to have our booking and kept us waiting for 20 minutes checking us in. The receptionist was plain rude. Nobody helped us with our bags or showed us to our room...

The bathroom and bedroom was clean but very small and no cupboard so soon the content of my backpack was sprawled over the floor. My window opened up on an air shaft which meant that was one of the lucky ones to get some sleep at night. In essence there is nothing wrong with the place, it is just that...

We only stayed 3 nights bust was pleasantly surprised for where it's located it wasn't too bad at all! The pool was nice, yeah it had bugs in it but what do you expect for an open air pool in Bangkok, it wasn't as bad as some people have made out, the rooms were clean and beds were majorly comfortable!...

If you want something in the heart of Khao San, this is an easy option. Ask for a room away from the Street. Well known for being a place for backpackers doing the banana circuit. Rooftop pool is a nice escape from the pace of the streets below.

Unfriendly staff, ugly standard room. The pool is dirty and the view is not that nice like they say in the description. There are better hotels in Khao San road for the same price. Ah, you pay 500 Bath extra if you want to bring a friend after 22:00 and this is still not written when you book.

First of all, during my booking online, I underlined my arriving time in hotel (after 9pm). Once arrived to the hall, they said me that simply cancelled my reservation: without any calling or mail, just saying there were overbooking and someone arrived before me (....) and book my room. They neither did take care to provide me another room in...

Great hotel! The rooms were clean and well kept and the staff was friendly and courteous. Perhaps the best thing about this place is the location. It's located on a street that's almost like a little times square. Everything you need is within a 3 block radius. There are restaurants, bars, money exchange places, massage parlors, etc. The street food...

We stayed here for two nights right after flying into Bangkok from Chicago. The major upside was that the cab driver knew right where to take us as the D&D is pretty popular. The staff was very welcoming, even at 1am. Our room was clean enough for the price. The pool was GREAT. Big and full of sun. The location...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
