Our stay was an overnight stop prior to flying out of DM airport which was a 10 minute car ride which cost 90 Baht, booked at reception.
This is a quirky hotel which is great value for money at £26 including breakfast which was adequate with English and Thai choices. All the staff were friendly and helpful . The garden and swimming pool were well looked after and a pleasure to walk round The room was basic and had an a/c unit with a comfortable bed. However the room generally was a bit tired and could do with updating as did the bathroom as the shower leaked and did not drain properly. I would return to this property again if I needed an airport stop over .

Upon first glance, the resort looks beautiful from the outside... that is, unless you chose a cheaper room, in which case they put you in a building across the street from reception that looks like a tenement from the outside. The rooms inside are nice, however -- clean, comfortable beds, hot showers, and stocked with towels and bottles of water. At least one of the staff members speaks English. The location is convenient to the airport, but there's not really anything to do around the hotel (except eat amazing street food, which I highly recommend).

Despite what EVERYONE in the airport and on the street says, you can walk here; it took me about 25 minutes to walk from DMK (I'm a pretty fast walker). If you have big luggage, take a taxi as there are no sidewalks for part of the walk. To get there from the airport, follow the signs to Amari Hotel; go into the hotel, down to the first floor, out the front door, and take a right. Follow that street until you come to Chang Akat Uthit Rd; there will be a traffic light and a street sign. Turn right and walk over the river to Chang Akat Uthit 3; take a left. Walk one block, say hello to all the stray dogs, and take a right (you'll see a blue and white neon sign in all Thai pointing you in the right direction); the hotel is a block down on the left, in the middle of lots of dark alleys with no landmarks. Have fun!

We had a pleasant stay here. Very close to DMK airport, 5 minutes by taxi (110 THB meter) Or you can walk, 15 minutes. Other side of the road, across the bridge.
It is not a resort nor a spa, but a decent, cosy hotel. Quiet surroundings. They have 3 types of rooms, small cottages, rooms connected and they have a small building across the street, more a motel style with no windows.

We had some hick ups when we arrived and were given a room across the street, room was ok, but the bathroom was so tiny that you shower above the toilet and sink. And next door is a big parking space for motorcycles, a lot of noise early in the morning. Next morning we moved to a little "cottage" small but nice, wide and great beds! very firm, but we like that, rooms were very clean and nice smelling sheets and towels. Quieter than the other building and a nice atmosphere. TV had English channels, wifi worked well. They do need to fix the ac in room 10, we did it ourselves, but it need some serious maintenance.
Staff is very friendly and the receptionists speak good English, didn't try the breakfast. They offer coffee/tea, crackers etc complementary. There is absolutely nothing to do in the neighborhood except for good food! Along the main street, about a 5 minutes walk, you will find small, very tasty restaurants. 7Eleven sells freshly baked danish and croissants and across the street is a coffee place with good coffee and you can eat your breads there. Overall a nice stay, comfortable, bathroom is too small, but clean and everything worked. Will come back again when we fly back from DMK. Can recommend, but don't expect a resort like hotel.

DO NOT believe all the good reviews. We have chosen this hotel for an overnight stay between flying from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and going back to Canada. Once we grabbed a taxi it took about 30 minutes in traffic to get to this resort. We turned off the highway and started going into a very poor and dangerous area...at this point out taxi driver repeatedly asked us if we have the right address.Upon arrival no one was at the reception and it took forever to find anyone to check us in.
They claim to have a restaurant on site, which we liked as our stay would have been very short. But food actually comes from one of local eateries and then delivered to the resort, very odd...
While waiting for our food, there was no one else around until few couples started showing up...this is where it gets interesting... My husband pointed out that EVERY SINGLE couple consisted of an old western man and young Thai girl in revealing clothing...Another and another couple came in all looking the same...This hotel is pretty much an escort service for white older man it's disgusting! They rent our rooms to these man to bring young girls for sex. But the worst part was when we went to bed, within an hour I woke up feeling things crawling on my body...sheets were bloody and I was covered in bed bugs....Honestly this was the worst moment of my 3 weeks trip....we tried finding someone to speak to with no luck :( Grabbed a cab at 1:00AM and got the hell out of this nightmare. Expedia has already refunded all money to us, and I truly hope no other travelers will go to this disgusting place!

If you're looking for a value stop for the night close to Don Mueang Airport then this is it. Family run and the staff are lovely. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Can hear the planes but it didn't bother me at all. Peace of mind if you have early or late connecting flights and don't want to risk BKK traffic.

I opted for this hotel because of its location to Don Muang Airport. I was an international traveler and arrived in at BKK airport late. I had a an early flight the next day that departed from Don Muang airport, so I wanted a close accommodation near the airport.

Yes, the Montri Resort provided me this access and is a great location to access the airport, but my objections with the facilities are the sparse amenities in the rooms, the fact that the room was not cleaned before I arrived at 1:30am, and the seemingly remoteness of the location.
My taxi driver which was not familiar with area could not find the hotel despite asking many locals for directions. Yes, agreed, the Don Muang Airport area is now in the process of a major construction project, but access is limited and detours are prevalent throughout the area. It took me 1.5 hour to find the hotel from Don Muang airport despite it being less than 1.5 kms away.

I used my Google map app on my smartphone and walked there from DMK airport with my carryon. It was a pretty easy walk and took about 20 minutes. The staff were very, very nice. My first room had weak wifi and intermittent, so after about 20 minutes in the room I asked the staff to change my room. The lady at the desk and gentlemen were very, very nice and accomodated my request immediately with a new room and the wifi was strong in the new room but the aircon would not cool the room, so I booked another hotel in Bangkok and then went back to the very kind couple at the desk and told them that I was checking out. I paid 900THB for the room, and for that amount, for me it was not worth fussing. The room layout was very nice, water pressure was great, the resort is a lovely accomodation and it is located very convenient to DMK. Also there was a market very close and many stores also nearby.

What can I say about this resort, other than EXCELLENT? The staff are extremely friendly, the food is good, and the rooms are not only comfortable but home like. I honestly can not fault this hotel at all. Myself and partner were moving around Thailand for two weeks, and kept returning to this hotel as a stop over. Each time we were welcomed with a big smile.

The resort itself was lovely and great value for money! Only problem is that no taxi driver seemed to have heard of the place so it was very stressful trying to get there after a long flight! Had a lovely breakfast in the morning and near enough to the domestic airport!

This is a convenient hotel if you want to stay by the airport. It is cozy, clean, nothing fancy. The breakfast was very basic and plain, I couldn't eat it. Staff ate friendly and they have a shuttle to the airport but you have to pay.
