Not much good to say about this hotel unless you want pay sex at the surroundings. The safebox is at the reception, the bed is uncomfortable, the linnen couldnt be worse, the pillows also. Not much to say just dont stay there.

Dear Ifarj, Thank you very much for your comments and I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Since October 2012, the Tarntawan Place has installed safe deposit boxes in all rooms, changed the T.V.'s to Flatscreen ones and replaced old linen. A selection of pillows is available from Housekeeping, should you prefer softer or firmer...

This is a lovely, small hotel just off a main road, but surprisingly quiet for it's location, just up the road (walking distance) from the Patpong market area and other pubs and bars. We stayed for a total of 3 nights (2 together and then 1 night on our return to Bangkok from elsewhere). On both occasions we stayed in...

Return visit and pleased to report that management continue to listen to customers' comments. There is now a safe installed in the rooms. Breakfast is still the best in its class as is the level of service. Great location and I enjoyed my visit.

The location is indeed very convenient, close to Metro/Skytrain. Staff is very professional and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean, providing all the conveniences you can expect. However this hotel needs an update in order to qualify as a (3) stars hotel. Had a chance to talk to the owner, who actually confirmed that they are in the process...

The Tarntawan,is an old favourite of mine. Placed within an excellent part of Bangkok yet still quiet and away from the hubbub of traffic and noise of this busy City. Staff many of whom have served here for in excess of 14 years remember previous clients and give a warm welcome to newcomers. This is a budget hotel run by...

I described the hotel one year ago. Last month I stayed in the Tarntawan for the sixth time. The service is still breathtaking. In order not to repeat myself, I will describe an aspect that I’ve never experienced in any other hotel. Every Thursday evening the hotel management organizes a cocktail for all hotelguests. The drinks are free. One meets...

I've stayed at this hotel several times in recent years and have always been impressed. The staff are friendly and efficient. They have smoking and non smoking rooms. The hotel itself is located on a private cul-de-sac off the main Suriwongse Road right in the centre of Bangkok. Everywhere is within walking distance, Patpong, the shopping malls along Silom Road,...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
