We stayed here when we first arrived in Thailand, booked it for location and price. Location: very good, 2 streets over from Khaosan but no bars on this road so nice and quiet. Room: was fine, large bed and clean. Had a fridge. No windows though, which is the case for most of the rooms I think, but that isn't... More

I book always in this hotel when i come to bangkok. Last time we ask for an upgrade room and we get it. We come back very soon. The staff is very friendly. It s a cheap and good quality hotel with excellent location near Kao San Road. Just a pity that there is no more jacuzzy ont the roof.... More

Just left this place. Staff were lovely hotel itself was ok. Rooms not great but good for a night. Would recommend the rikka in instead much better rooms and swimming pool on roof. 3 star because our view was a wall..couldn't even put my hand out the window as it was literally a wall on the other side

Budget room close to Koa San Road. Standard hotel. Rooms were big. But the hotel is pretty run down. And could really use a renovation. The superior rooms are the ones with the windows which are nice for the connection with the outside world. I personally can not have a room with a window and sunlight. The window rooms can... More

We stayed here one night and the staff was atrocious. They were extremely rude and They were charging more than agoda (normal) so when we tried to book on agoda they said we'd have to wait an hour until checking in which is ridiculous. They ended up "letting" us do it because we were about to walk out. The rooms... More

The room was small and very basic, so good if you`re out most of the time. Within walking distance of many attractions. Would stay again. No minibar. No window. Walls pretty thin, could hear what was going on in other rooms. Lockers available for rent. Staff helpful. Elevator nice with heavy luggage. A\C

Perfect for what we wanted, rooms clean and staff very helpful. Within walking distance to quite alot of the attractions including Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Khao San Road and river taxis. We went on a day trip to Damnoen Saduak floating market, we got a taxi there for 1000B but got a minibus back for 100B (drops at Victory Monument)... More

I booked for one night which i soon began to regret. The room which was a "superior" double room (950baht/night) was not superior at all nor cozy. Although it was a room with a window (superior) it smelled bad. In the evening i asked in the lobby for a trash bin which was missing, all i got in return was... More

Awful stay! I do not recommend this hotel at all. The walls are so thin you hear everything so no chance of sleeping. The room was very very dated and the bathroom was so small and impractical. We had to be moved rooms due to the smell in the first room. The location of the hotel is good and it... More

The location of this hotel is quite good cause it's really central. You have a walkable distance to Kaoh San Road, Wat Poh, royal palace etc. There are rooms without windows and the walls are paper thin. You really can't sleep if you don't have a good ear protection. This is annoying especially if you arrive with a jetlag.... The... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
