My wife and I are both in our early forties, I picked the Silome Serene Hotel after reading reviews from the Tripadvisor web site. We stayed at the Silom Seren for three nights at the end of March before traveling to Chaing Mai, the Hotel was in the perfect location for us, the sky train station is only a 10...

I recently spend a few nights at the Silom Serene in Bangkok following the advice of some of the really positive reviews I found posted on Trip Advisor. I must say I was very disappointed by the experience. The hotel is OK for the price range but certainly not exceptional. The rooms (except the suites) are dark and with low...

I booked after I've read the +++ reviews on tripadvisor. What a surprise... To keep it simple, here is a list about the so called Executive room number 805 and the hotel itself. Cons - very very low ceiling (don't consider staying if you are more than 1;70m high ! ! !) - small bed - absolutely NO view (you...

This lovely hotel is down a very dark road in Bangkok, but is very near Pat Pong, the Sky Train and Metro. The welcome and service we had was outstanding, the room was large, clean and very comfortable (though it overlooked the street, so not a great view). The buffet breakfast on each of our three days was very good.

This hotel is a great little secret in a touristy area of Bangkok. Once again, I checked the tripadvisor reviews before I went, and they did not disappoint. All the facilities that you would expect from a large hotel, in a great little side street, without a large price tag. The Skytrain is very close (only a 5 minute walk),...

Very good hotel! Super friendly staff, very service minded. The hotel is very clean and provides quiet rooms near Silom Road. The prices were very affordable, we paid approx. 80$ a night in October.

We were recommended to stay here and this hotel is a well kept secret. Staff was really helpful. Rooms were not super modern but huge and had everything we needed. We didn't use the pool area but it looked nice. Breakfast was nice too. The Silom area is really nice, it is not too noisy and offers a great choice...

Great location - 2 mins from Patpong/10 from Silom Village but down a side street so not right in the midst of the hustle, bustle - and noise!! Can get a taxi to anywhere just at the end of the street and the Skytrain is an easy walk away. Rooms are great - well-sized, big, comfy beds with crisp duvets...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
