the hotel was very nice, clean with big rooms and the food at the restaurant was tasty and good value. we also had massages at the hotel which were very enjoyable. the hotels location was quite near the sky train and very near the Patpong night market which was useful. My only complaint was the air conditioning was very noisy....

Located on Silom road, this hotel is easy to get to from the airport, AE1 will take you practically a minutes walk away. Nestled down a quiet side street from the bustling silom road, the staff greeted us with a cold refreshing drink and our bags were taken to our room. The room was pleasant, with wi-fi internet, clean, comfortable...

A nice, small, "Botique" hotel as they call them in this part of the world. It is an attractive cozy place, and we really enjoyed our stay here. We thought the staff was very cold however. Not helpful at all. Very nice pool and dining area. The rooms are spacious and cozy, at the same time. Central location close to...

This was our first visit to Bangkok and we found the Silom Serene to be an ideal oasis in a bustling, hectic city. It’s conveniently situated just off busy Silom Road, but its position in the side street, means that it’s quiet even though it’s in the middle of a big city. Our room overlooked the pool, but unfortunately, the...

This hotel is in a great location to see all the great sights of Bangkok - being only a five minute walk from either Chong Nonsi or Sala Daeng Sky Train Stations. Catch the Sky Train to Saphan Taksin and get a Ferry from Central Pier to go and visit the Grand Palace/Temple of Dawn/Emerald Buddha/Wat Po & all the...

My wife and I took my parents to Thailand in January 2008 and we wanted a hotel that was up to their usual high standards but at the same time did not break the bank. We choose the Silom Serene because of its location and price and we were not disappointed. The hotel is quite small and situated in a...

I stayed here for two nights en route to Australia. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Breakfast offered a decent range of food and was freshly prepared. Pool area was pleasant but on the small side and didn’t get much sun due to surrounding high rise buildings. Overall I was very happy with...

Stayed here six nights in October and three nights in November 2008. Came to Bangkok for cheap dentistry work, as well as a break/shopping, etc. Great location down a side street off the busy Silom Road, very close to Phat Phong nightlife. Easy walking distance to great dentist also!! Busy area but inside hotel room was very quiet. Nice room,...

I stayed here a few years ago and returned this year for another stint. The hotel is on Silom near the excitement of Patpong so it is never dull in the area. The hotel is well maintained, attractive and provides both good service and excellent value. There were some interesting language moments but someone was always available to assist and...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
