Stayed at Grande Ville Hotel with my friends and family for 3 days 2 nights. It's located at a very busy town named, China Town. Thus, you can find a lot of NICE food to eat, CHEAP stuffs to shop and SUPERB night view from the hotel's sky lounge! The rooms are BIG enough to accommodate up to 3 persons...

My family and I were booked here for 5 days. Unfortunately it was a terrible experience and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. On our 4th day, I realised 4 items where missing from inside my suitcase and there was a distinct crack on my netbook, where it had clearly fallen to the ground from the top of...

The Grande Ville would be a fine, inexpensive hotel in Chinatown in Bangkok Thailand if it weren't for the fact that the air quality of the rooms is very very poor. The windows in the rooms don't open, and given the poor ventilation, mold and various pesticides and harsh chemical cleaners used in the hotel travelers are essentially trapped in...

The only pro about the stay was the breakfast on the second-floor restaurant which has been renovated. As for the rest of the hotel, it is way too outdated, especially the room itself. The matresses are absolutely uncomfortable, the carpet is dirty and the bathroom is really filthy. The edges of the tub had mold all over it! Will definitely...

Grande Ville is, like how the reviews state, is near China Town. The staff are very friendly, especially the doormen who helped and provided amazing suggestions on where to go and how much to expect to pay. They also negotiated taxi rides for me. In Bangkok, this is huge as everyone is looking to make a few bucks. Back to...

This is a decent hotel, close to china town in Bangkok. They claim there is a swimmingpool, but that's no more than just a large jacuzzi. The hotel lacks atmosphere and is located at a very busy street. It's a nice place to explore bangkok from, but don't expect anything special

This Hotel is the best value in Bangkok near all the best tourist and shopping spots. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel. I could only find fault with the selection of TV stations, but in Bangkok there's too much to do to care!

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
