We stayed here twice whilst travelling south east Asia. Both times were really great. Rooms are clean and light. There is a very nice restaurant/bar/pool area which is nice to chill in the evenings if you don't fancy khao san road. Beds and tVs are huge. The area it is located is not the best, the road is quite dirty...

We stayed here as a group of 12 for one night and were all very disappointed. Initially we thought it looked nice from the entrance way, but as soon as we went to our floor it changed. The corridors smelt bad, damp and dirty. Most of the rooms had problems such as hot water not working, electric cutting out, and...

We stayed here for one night on a layover on our return trip to London from Vietnam. I had stayed at this hotel about ten years ago so thought I'd try it again. It was alright. Nothing more. Geographically it's a bit off the beaten track and the room amenities were average. AC was not great (it was ok) and...

I stayed in hotel due to close to tourist centers such as Grand Palace, Reclining buddha at Wat Poh, National museum and theater, easy walking to khaosarn road and to explore ancient city of Bangkok. Room rate is reasonable for city center hotel with a walking distance to Banglumpoo shopping area and close to Chaopaya river for cruising to see...

Whilst the location wasn't great, the main issue was the air con in the room. For most of the one night stay we had to turn it off as there was a toxic smell (like varnish) coming from the air con unit. Given that a fully functioning air con unit is a minimum requirement then this means a poor rating....

I've stayed here on 2 or 3 different occasions, and this place is fine. The room is quite basic, but it is clean and the pool is quite nice. The breakfast wasn't too bad, but lacks western options. Heaps of great Thai food, however. Good for a quick stopover in BKK and it's nice and quiet.

While the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, the hotel is not in the best geographical diction. There is not much at all around the hotel so a 15min wall or tuktuk ride is needed to go anywhere including restaurants. Bathroom was good but hot water not always available. Wifi was constantly cutting out. The Pool area is nice....

Just outside of the central tourist zone, means a bit of walking, either to the ferry pier, or a tuk tuk ride to get anywhere. Rooms are large , but very limited hanging space. A shower curtain would be useful too. Wi fi was no issue. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Overall good value for money.

We stayed in Trang hotel bangkok for 3 nights and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly, and were willing to assist where possible. The rooms were great, very modern, large and spacious. Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
