Baan Wanglang has every amenity you could ever want and more for a very good price. Comfy beds, great air conditioning, clean room, BEAUTIFUL view of Bangkok. We stayed in the corner suite and spent lots of time on our balcony or looking out the huge, floor-to-ceiling, crystal clear windows. The staff was friendly and attentive. They offer a free tuk tuk ride to the main road, will hail a cab for you, communicate to the driver where you want to go, and negotiate a fair price. This is KEY in Bangkok as there are lots of cab drivers who will scam and overcharge. If you want to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Bangkok during the day, but return to a quiet, peaceful place at night, this is your spot!! Also, don’t miss the rooftop bar!

We decided to have a staycation at this property and truly no regrets.
Praew the receptionist received us cordially. She ensured our check in was smooth and went to the extra mile of showing us our room.
We reserved a corner suite. It was huge and the river view was good. However the view only offered a 90 degree scene of the river.
I was curious what the riverfront room would offer and so i tried my luck and asked Praew if she could show me the riverfront room and the panoramic view room.
The riverfront room proved to be better than my corner suite room though the former was smaller. However the riverfront room has a 180 degree view of the river.
I asked Praew if i could change room since the cost of my room and the riverfront room was the same.
Praew agreed after making sure there was no reservation to the riverfront room.
The next morning, after returning from breakfast, we were pleasantly surprise to find that our bed was tidied, fresh towels were replaced and complimentary drinking water was added.
I must applaude Praew and the staff of this hotel for their service orientated attitude which made my stay a memorable one abeit the serious pandemic situation.
Last but not least, Praew also acceded to my request to extend my check out to 1pm. Once again kudos to her and the staff of this hotel.

Its excellent riverside location, only 50 meters away from a 5 minute ferry ride across the Chao Praya River to The Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha, etc. After that, it's your choice of an 8 minute Tuck -Tuck ride to Koa San Road or to fascinating China Town or 30 minutes to peaceful Lumpini Park, amid the hustle and bustle of Central Bangkok. Best of all is looking forward to a delightful evening of relaxing at Baan Wanglang's riverside venues after a day of touring and sight seeing in the City of Angels! Three possibilities invite your choice, all of them overlooking the ancient waterway - the large deck at ground level in front of the N10 Cafe, the equally large deck at the Ton Makok restaurant on the second floor or finally the congenial outdoor 342 Bar and lounge deck on the top floor. The magic of the river truly manifests itself at any one of these in the late afternoon and evening.
Helpful, friendly, courteous and professional sum up the staff and the rooms are more than adequate.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. The staff in the hotel were very unhelpful and couldn't provide even simple information about the area and how to get to popular tourist attractions. It was also quite hard getting back to the hotel in the evening when the ferry was closed. The taxis either didn't want to go there at all due to location or refused to turn on the meter asking for triple the usual fare. The staff wouldn't even order a taxi for us in the morning! The room was nice but not practical. There was only one tiny wardrobe and no other space for storage so we couldn't even unpack. The roof top bar was very expensive and we were not allowed to sit at the tables with the view as they were being kept for larger groups. Some reviews mentioned access to a local mobile phone but this is completely not the case. The Wi-Fi in the room worked fine but you had to keep logging in every time you wanted to use it. The only positives were comfortable bed, nice view and clean room.

This hotel is very lovely and a great value for the price. The reception area is quite small, but the interior is decorated in a traditional Thai style with lots of decorative wood, Buddhist religious items, and very interesting books on Thailand. There is a narrow staircase, but there is also an elevator. The rooms are not big, but very comfortable and excellent for those traveling 'light.' Guests can enjoy most modern amenities found in any hotel, but with a quaint, traditional feel and a great view from the restaurant.
The receptionist was very efficient and friendly.
The biggest drawback, to all hotels in this area, is access. Frequently, taxis will not drive all the way to the hotel because of the very narrow streets with lots of students walking down the middle at certain times of the day. The hotel did arrange a taxi pickup at their doorstep, but convincing a taxi to drive all the way there is a challenge unless you can convince them they can get back out.

The accommodation is right on the river - opposite the Palace, up river from Wat Arun. It is alongside a large Market area and only a short walk to jetties and piers which allow you to travel easily using the main river or its many canals. There is a communal Cafe and Breakfast area as well as a top storey Bar and Music area (sixth floor) - all with fantastic views, especially at night time.

The staff, and their helpful attitude to guests shone through for me during our recent stay in this hotel. We liked staying on the edge of the river, and were glad that we chose this area for a 2 night stay in Bangkok. Our room (superior with city view) was disappointing since the view was of the back of the adjacent building and there was no outdoor furniture on the verandah to sit on. If you can afford it, choose the corner suites with the panoramic view of the river. After all, that is what the key feature of this hotel is and why you should choose to stay here.

Good location to explore Bangkok and lovely Thai authentic market right outside the hotel. The rooms are spacious, although a place to put a suitcase and/or hang cloths would have been nice. Comfortable bed. View of the river from the side. The staff is very friendly. We had breakfast in the hotel once and it was good quality with lots of choice. Dinner in the restaurant is very nice. Great outdoor terrace for a coffee (and cake). Taxi drivers had trouble knowing where the hotel is, so make sure to carry the phone number of the hotel so the reception can explain to the driver where to go. The boats are easier to travel though, as traffic through the narrow streets is tight, but they only go during daylight hours.

I had quite high hopes for this hotel given the write-up on their website. Unfortunately for me, personally it did not live up to such write-up.
Do be aware that this hotel is situated some distance away from all of the main attractions for tourists, on the opposite side of the river to where the action is.
The last boats to transport people across the river stop at 8pm.
Chinatown was a good hour's journey from the hotel as were areas such as Lumpini Park/Chatachak Market.
The area around the hotel, whilst bustling by day is completely dead in the evening with very few places to get food - I returned from Chatachak market on Sat evening arriving back to the Wanglang area at around 7.30pm and the area was in darkness with everything closed, so be aware of this before booking.
I had paid for a superior room but my room was anything but and I found the hotel to be very noisy. Live music on in one of the bars until 11pm (which is nice if you are listening to it, but not so good if you are trying to sleep).
Personally I would not recommend this hotel, and feel that their description is slightly misleading.

We stayed in both a superior room on the 5th floor, which was a reasonably good deal and a river front room at three times the rate of a superior room and not worth the huge difference, especially since this was on the 3rd floor and we had the restaurant right below our balcony. That meant no privacy on the balcony and rather loud music till late in the evening. If going again, I would choose the superior room. Breakfast is okay, but not included in the rate of the room. Staff was great and always very helpful. Location is in the middle of a market area with so many different foods. Really interesting. Also, the river boats run almost next door and will take you to the other side of the river or north or south for very little money.

From the city center, you can take the express boat from Saphan Taksin pier to the hotel. we are near the pier No.10 Wanglang pier or Prannok Pier and walk to the hotel for about 5 minutes. if you would like to go to Grand Palace it too easy to just walk to pier No.10, take the ferry boat to pier No.9 Tha change pier and walk about 5 minutes you will see the grand palace right-hand side. or Khaosan road you can talk the express boat to No.13 Pha Atit pier about 10-15 minutes. or taxi about 70 THB
