Stayed here with my boyfriend a couple of times now as he stayed here last year with his friend and told me we had to stay there. Hostel was clean, only small there was only two rooms but this was fine as you get to know people more and feel really safe here. Would like to say how amazing the...

Hero (nickname of the man from the hostel) is very kind and helpfull. He is real hero and he helped me very much. It is very simple accomodation with dorm rooms, friendly people to meet and a paradise for backpackers and travelers like me. Thank you

I stayed in this hostel not as a customer, rather as a friend of the hostel owner, Hero, whom I met online on a couchsharing site. He's really friendly and helps his guests selflessly. The hostel is not so centrally located though there is a direct ferry/bus service available to the Khaosan Road, which is the tourist part of the...

Hero, the hostel owner wasn't quite the hero we were after. The description on Hostel Bookers was altogether misleading. The location is 3km from Khoa San in spite of it's name. So you will have to get taxis. There were only two rooms and no such thing as a 'bar' in sight. It was more like a student flat. Its...

Hero the hostel owner helped us a lot during or stay in Bangkok. He will even take you to khao San Road for the night! The location is good if you don't like the busy city life however still near enough to get cheap taxis everywhere. Food is cheap which is only located outside the hostel. Thanks hero

The hostel manager is the best host I have ever had, he would literally do anything to ensure your stay is the best experience possible. He informs and shows you the cheapest routes on getting about town and will take you anywhere you want. About a £2 (100baht) taxi to Khao San road. Very clean dorm and beds. Good aircon....

This place wouldn't be so bad if they didn't make such wildly untrue claims on Hostelbookers. It is pretty funny though -- why claim to have twelve rooms if you only have two?! If you're looking for the advertised 'free breakfast', 'bar', 'games room', 'nightclub', 'washing machines', 'BBQ area', 'cafe' and 'onsite shop' let me save you the hassle --...

Although the hostel is located in a great spot along the river, although you have to keep a close eye out to see the sign, it is about 4km from khaosan road itself. Which was fine for us, as we were not looking for a party scene. It is also not within walking distance to anything unless you like to...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
