A pleasant boutique hotel close to Wat Pho temple. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment but the room facilities and decor were excellent, as were the staff. The roof top bar is also a big plus!

This was a great hotel. The Customer service is amazing. Great location. It's right outside the Big Buddha. Right by the pier to go to the temple of dawn (40baht boat to cross). Also It's 80-100 baht to take a Tuk Tuk to go to Khao San road. Before we booked it, We were debating between the Sala Arun or...

I stayed in this hotel only one night. I think it is one of the best locations in Bangkok. It is literally a walking distance and a short boat travel from the main city's attractions like a Palace and the most important temples. The hotel is very classy and I liked the room and the entire interior design. The staff...

We stayed (parents with 10 and 14 years old children) only one night at this wonderfull hotel with an amazing view from our two rooms to the river and wat Arun. Beautiful simple modern design, very clean and friendly, good English spoken. Totally worth of staying. Would choose this hotel again.

Small Boutique Hotel in a location that offers greats views of the Grand Palace, Wat Pho as well as Wat Arun which is located directly across the river from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and carried our luggage up four flights of stairs as there is no elevator at this hotel. They will also take your luggage back...

This boutique hotel is centrally located right near the Palace. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. Be sure to book a room with a view of the river and temple across the river. The rooftop bar is relaxing and the food quite nice. The restaurant for dinner is excellent and the breakfast wonderful, both with amazing river views! A...

The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great location to go to Wat Po and the Grand Palace although it is far from other places in Bangkok. Plenty of restaurants near by and the hotel restaurant was one of the best places we ate at. The staff was very thoughtful and helpful.

Good, friendly service at a competitive price right on the river and next to interesting places to visit, but the highlight is the view of temples from our bedroom - which is spectacular. Also has a great rooftop bar which is just right for the inevitable hot evenings. Also near to the park with the giant lizards...

This hotel has an amazing position with a view of Wat Arun across the Chao Phraya River. The rooftop bar is an excellent place to have a drink and the service at breakfast was wonderful. BUT there is a terrible sewerage smell in the rooms (at least the two we were shown). We have lived in Thailand for 3 years...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
