I have just checked out after an excellent 5 night stay in this unusual, luxury hotel. Check in was trouble free carried out by an extremely polite and friendly young lady supported by a trainee. I was told that I had been upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. Intriguingly neither thought to take my credit card details until they chased...

Now that Marriott merged with SPG I tried a W Hotel (Top Marriott Status) just to see what the benefits are and although I was a bit disappointed of the missing lounges and happy hour (just two drink vouchers) I have to say I liked the hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly, hip so to say and they have the...

W Bangkok P, General Manager at W Bangkok, responded to this review

Dear DRLuxury, Now that W Bangkok is part of the Marriott family, we're happy to welcoming our loyal Marriott guests and thank you for giving W Bangkok a try. It is correct that we do not have an executive lounge as W brands believe in a social inclusive environment for guests to mix and mingle or see and be seen....

Their are few hotels in the world who understand the word " hospitality " and their are not many hotels who make your stay luxuorious and make you feel at home. This property in bangkok is by far the only property in the world who wont let a guest go unhappy. This hotel deserves an applause with the way it...

Stunning hotel and an absolutely luxurious stay with an impressive outdoor pool. The service is excellent - special thanks to the hotel manager Chai and concierge Nati whom were both just lovely. The rooms are just gorgeous, with thai boxing theme cushions and decorations which we loved, and the usual W style of attentiveness to small details in terms of...

It's usually a bit of a hit n miss with the W brand service-wise while we always like the posh bold and modern design. This particular property did certainly not disappoint on that front and we loved the big room with the local design queues of Bangkok and the rather unusual triangular shaped bathroom. We were on level 17 and...

3/4th time back to the property and had an amazing stay again. Thanks to W insider KJ for a big help in arranging activities all over the city for me and making sure that my stay was well taken care of. She is such an asset to your hotel. This will always be one of my favourite properties in Bangkok....

Staying at The W wasn't just a hotel stay, it was an experience. Every intricate detail of your stay has been well though out from the tablet based room controller to in-room convenience. The bed was super comfy, the extra large bath filled up really quick, the blinds were true black out. I really loved the "wherever/whenever" button on the...

Stayed for four nights in a twin room. It was the most amazingly comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. They sell the W Hotel bed and although it is expensive it is so worth it so i am buying one. The hotel has great restaurants, an outdoor pool with music piped through the water and it is situated...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
