Front desk spoke no English and had 0 interest in doing his job. Mid check in, he went to a backroom and appeared to work on fixing a TV, realized we were still waiting, and begrudgingly came back to help. We got a "2 person room" which apparently to them meant a 2 person bunk bed in an 8 person...

I'm currently at Hello right now. I had a 4 bed dorm all for myself, bathroom is clean, carpet is a little dirty and bed is squeaking. Not too bad its ok I'll survive. Earlier I ate at the restaurant downstairs and as I ordered I paid my meal then as I was eating I ordered another food then I...

Originally booked for one night but ended up staying for three. The hostel is in a pretty good location and is fairly good value for money as it is clean and comfortable. The fans in the room weren't great, so it was quite hot. Nothing to shout home about, but for the location, a good price.

Location is good, room was reasonably clean, bed was comfortable, and it wasn't too noisy at night. The hostel is integrated in a fast food restaurant and lacks any flair. It is okay for just sleeping there one or two nights, but no place to linger.

The hostel is a guesthouse! It's above a fast food restaurant and is just a room with some bunk beds and fans. The beds are relatively comfy, seemed clean but everyone slept on top of the blanket it was so hot. I was there two nights and they only changed the sheets of the checkouts once. There is a light...

This place has a great location!! A super easy Minutes walk from Khao San Etc and was even quiet, which is a treat! For the money it was fine, but totally 'Bangkok Basic'... Over priced for Thailand and lacking in home comforts, like light! Ha. But joking aside this place is fine and a lot better than other hell holes...

Stayed at the Hello hostel for 2 nights in March. As a solo traveller I had booked for its proximity to Khao San Road. Just a 2 minute walk to all bars and nice restaurants on Ramboutee Road. The street that the hostel is on is also the main clothes market area so it gets quite busy. The rooms were...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
