I have stayed at the Pinnacle once a year for the last five years, an indication of the regard in which I hold the site for reasons that other reviewers have already mentioned... location and value for money amongst the two main ones. This last trip I noticed the the rooms were becoming a little shabby - stained carpets, slightly...

I wanted to visit some friends in Bangkok and needed a hotel that was convenient, not in a tourist trap zone and wouldn't intrude with overbearing service types. This hotel hit the spot right on, and it was quite cheap comparaed to they typical hotel in Bangkok. If you're a young or elderly couple focused on visiting tourist attractions, then...

The Pinnacle is pretty much exactly as others have described it - a very good value for money hotel. My wife and I are mid-30's, we were in Bangkok for only a few days and we wanted somewhere clean, comfortable and close by. We didn't want to spend our money on Hotel luxuries, we're not high maintenance and we found...

This Hotel is practical and in a good location for the Lumpinee night Bazaar and Thai kick boxing. The rooms are generous and well appointed. The breakfast was great and the staff are very friendly and not too nosy. The Spa on the roof top jacuzzi and sunbed area is very professional and is certainly a great place to unwind....

I stayed at the Pinnacle, and it was GREAT. The entire staff was very polite, and the room clean and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was delicious; I fear I gained 10 pounds the week I was there. It is very close to as subway stop, and near the hotel are motor bike type taxis. The people in BKK are very...

The deluxe room has an electronic safe and the usual offerings. Breakfast is pretty good, and the eggs made to order are perfect. Near enough to the subway, plenty of interesting shops, markets, food vendors, restaurant etc. Lumpinee Stadium is 5 minutes walk if you're into Muay Thai Boxing. It can be a drag sometimes, trying to get back to...

When arriving at the airport taxi's don't ask for the Lumpinee hotel, but for the Pinnacle. Lumpinee is known as the park opposite the hotel. As the hotel is relatively close to Pantong, you'll find a lot of gays in the hotel. The rooms have good soft beds, which I like. Rooms 515+516 were occupied by the 5 of us....

I think i may have been a little confused when i booked this hotel, i knew it wasn't five star but i did not expect it to be so awful. We booked two nights after seven wonderful days at BAAN HAAD NGAM on Koh Samui and this was such a let down. Our room was dirty with stains on the...

Like many lodgings in Bangkok (both expensive and cheap), the Pinnacle Lumpinee is located on a small, neighborhood soi, just off of a larger boulevard. Soi Ngam Duphli is a narrow, crowded little street, with small food stalls, irregular sidewalks, good restaurants and modern office buildings. The nearby boulevard, Rama IV, is busy, wide, full of an amazing variety of...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
