Friends introduced us to the Atlanta and we'll definitely be returning when in Bangkok. A quirky but comfortable hotel in a very convenient location. Fabulous breakfast pancakes. Rooms are basic but comfortable- pillows are exceptionally good. Extremely good value.
Beautiful hotel! It's so vintage and cool. It has its own soul and you have to understand it and to be in the same vibe of it in order to appreciate it. Amazing the pool where you can smell the flowers of the garden, lovely food...More
Foyer and restaurant are quirky and reminiscent of "Art Deco style of the 1950's" (and yes, that is what I mean). Our family room was big and quite light, well equipped, with its own shower/toilet; but it did have something of a victorian mental asylum...More
This was my second visit to the Atlanta and I'm still ambivalent about the place. The price is decent value for the neighborhood and considering pool, garden facilities, though rooms are basic.
It's a long way down the soi if you are walking. Be ready!...More
We were here for the third time this summer. For us Bangkok is Atlanta hotel. A beautiful little oasis in the big dirty city. Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Love the lobby, the restaurant and the pool area. Simply forget where you are and...More
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
The cats do wander around the hotel but don't bother guests at all. They do seen to like a pat but only if you want to give then some time. I never noticed any cat-pee smell at all, and I'm sensitive to smells and a bit... More
The cats do wander around the hotel but don't bother guests at all. They do seen to like a pat but only if you want to give then some time. I never noticed any cat-pee smell at all, and I'm sensitive to smells and a bit allergic to cats... No problem at all.
