This hotel’s rack rates would normally put it out of my price range but visitors remain scarce and bargains are to be had. Well located by the rail and metro stations. Staying here makes “all the tourist” areas easily and cheaply accessible and you can walk to Chinatown and a couple of important Wats. Standards in the hotel are good...

i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. i thought the rooms were nice and light and clean. the location was okay, had to get taxis to visit most attractions and was around 30-45mins away from airport. the staff were polite but i wouldnt say that they were overly helpful. one tip though, try and avoid the hotels taxi company,...

I had read some of the reviews of this hotel on Trip Advisor and was a bit cautious about how it would be. I found that while the hotel is indeed a bit old and tired the cleanliness of the place is impeccable and the staff are just great. They were friendly and helpful and showed a great sense of...

The only good thing this hotel has to offer is the location, it close to a metro station and china town. Other than that the hotel is old and the rooms are small, the bedroom is in bad condition and there isn't really any good thing to say about the rooms.

Went to Bangkok few times. This is the 1st time we stayed here. It is near the China Town (10 mins walking distance) AND it is near the MRT stating - right in front of the hotel (Station Huah Lam Phong) AND Train station is just opposite this hotel. Lobby - nicely decorated BUT --- Room - outdated and very...

Stayed in this hotel for one night and was bitten by bedbugs on my legs. The outside and lobby area is beautiful but the rooms are very standard. It seems that some of the floors are being renovated but not the floor I stayed on. It is like a 2 minute walk from the Huamapalong underground station which is the...

Located close to railway station, but not near the main sights of Bangkok. Room was averagely clean for the price, with nasty plastic sheets on the bed. They will tell you that water is complimentary on check-in, but then charge you at the end of the stay. the duty manager was rude when we complained about this scam. Ensure you...

For what I paid for this hotel it is excellent value. The hotel is situated next to the underground and Railway station and not to far from the major tourist attractions along the river. There was ample choice at breakfast. Only issue was the hotel does not change Travellers Cheques, but there are plenty of exchanges nearby.

I slept in this hotel 10 years ago, it was OK and therefore I booked it again. Now I can compare: The price raised up from 1000 THB in 1999 to 1650 and the standard is the same. Nice, that we got a better room, because I slept here 10 years ago :-)))))))) The location is simply perfect. Metro Station...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
