My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a group on an excursion and were more than satisfied with our stay. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The bathroom was sometimes a little outdated but everything functioned well. We stayed in two different rooms on two different occasions and slept well. Breakfast is...

The hotel is located near China town and the rooms are basic but fine. My trip was made by the 2 taxi drivers at the hotel. They took me everywhere and organised a boat tour. They were so helpful and not bad priced as being solo I didn't want to chance a dodgy taxi. The pool was small but nice...

Didn't like this hotel. Rude receptionist staff except for one lovely smiley lady. And whatever you do, don't use the taxi booking service just outside the hotel. Absolute rip off, was quoted 400 baht for our journey to the next hotel but in the taxi meter it was only 100 baht. He even had the cheek to claim no taxi...

We've used this hotel a few times before. It's location is great but it is sorely in need of renovation! The mattresses retain their shop plastic covers so everytime you move, it crackles & the sheets move..mattress protectors have been invented!! The bathroom is pretty bad..the shower & bath taps run at the same time meaning you have very hot water...

My friend and I stayed here for one night. We had a great view over Bangkok. Very central hotel, close to the main train station (within walking distance). We were greeted with two men who helped with our luggage - pleasantly surprising. The room was basic, although in need of some attention. It was a little worn. The wifi was...

Location: right outside hua lamphong metro station. First place we saw. Only stayed here as a last option as missed last train. Hotel: definitely overpriced dirty dive. Although the bed's plastic mattress protector and air con topped with being overtired made for a very sound sleep. In spite of that it did feel seedy and dirty and like it needed...

The hotel is too old. No safe in the room. There are not any tea or coffee in the room. The sound from outside can be heard in the room so I find it difficult to sleep. The toilet is quite dirty and the water is difficult to control. The breakfast is not variable.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
