Stayed at this excellent hotel a few years ago (twice) and loved it then and still love it now. Beautiful, friendly service; free daily newspaper; fruit plate waiting in your room on arrival. My partner and I are basically nomadic when in Bangkok and, no matter what time we leave our room, the staff always find time to make the...

I had to come to Bangkok for a medical proceedure at the BNH Hospital, and seeing that this hotel was located only 2 min. walk I booked it. My stay for 20 days was extremely resonable price, less than 1500usd! The staff was amazing & polite! The room was clean & well suited for my long stay with a mini...

I have stayed at this hotel on and off over the last sixteen years and usually found it to be good. The roooms are of a decent quality and what one would expect for the rate that is charged, reasonable value for money. I am not sure what is happening with the management lately though. I booked a transfer using...

I haven't stayed in the hotel but live near it and was at the restaurant today. They really need to do a food makeover - it was seriously overpriced and not at all up to par to the most of the many other meals I've had in Thailand. I ordered a Croque Monsieur which costs about 8 bucks and I...

If you are expecting yet another example of a boutique hotel featuring the usual 'Thai Chic' elements then this is not your place. But if you are looking for a well-run hotel that combines an excellent location (two minutes on foot from the BTS Sala Deng station) with efficiency, business amenities, a very good restaurant, and a welcoming staff then Swiss...

This is an ideal hotel to stay for the business visitors who don't have the time to indulge in leisure activities, because it is situated in ideal surroundings, wherein one can take a walk down the market place(approx. 1 KM away) for quick shopping for the dear ones. The hotel is located on Convent street, which is a quiet location with...

I use to enjoy staying at the Swiss Lodge on Soi Convent in the Silom area of Bangkok. It is (or was) a great area for shopping, medical check-ups at BNH, resteaunts, bars and near the infamous Patpong district for those so inclined. Swiss Lodge was always a cut about the others in the area such as Silom Serene and...

I was staying in this hotel for 1 night in superior room. Suprisingly, the superior room was big and the bed was large (which i think enough for 3 adults). The room was perfectly clean. The staffs there were nice and warm. Check in was quick. The staffs were willing to help. They gave me detailed direction to the places...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
