The suite room is very spacious and clean. Location is very good. The building is a little old but we are satisficed the we got the suite room which was newly renovated. Service overall is good. Highly recommended to family staycation.!!!
Booked the hotel with breakfast - the best decision made! Having the meal on the 77th or 81st floor of the tallest hotel in Thailand was a fantastic experience, enjoying the nice views while eating. Breakfast selection was very good too. House guests also have access to the revolving deck on the 84th floor for the 360 deg view of the city. The hotel location is excellent, near to the train station and many shopping areas. The hotel also provides one way shuttle service to some touristy places like the Chatuchak weekend market. Room is spacious and service very good. Food at the cafe on the 18th floor was very good too. Will probably stay here again if we return to Bangkok again.
The views from the rooms are great, but the hotel condition is very average, and not worth the price you pay. I am giving it the points for the view only. But if the weather is rainy, or smoggy, you won't get to enjoy that either. So if you are planning to stay here cos of the view, check the weather on your phone app (Openweather, Aeris, Climacell, or any other) for visibility conditions.
Our stay at Baiyoke was below average. Firstly we booked for Kloud Kissing package, 3998 THB per night. As we wanted to celebrate my wife's belated birthday. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and the view was amazing. Besides that everything was bad. This is because of a lack of communication, management and organisation inside the hotel. When we checked-in the receptionist man didn’t give us the voucher for the dinner. He provided us with misleading information. He told us they have reserved a table for us on the 81st floor and we just have to collect the voucher at 2 pm. I asked him three times and, he gave me the same answer, “window seat for two people on the 81st floor for tonight”.I believed him. At 2 pm when I went to collect the voucher they said they don't have it for us, as everything is fully booked. I argued with the staff but they said they cannot do anything for us. It’s fully booked. We compromise ourselves to have dinner on the 78th floor. Bear in mind the 81stfloor dinner is worth 900THB per person, and that is what we paid for but we had to settle down for the 78th floor which is worth around 690THB per person and all seafood. The 78th floor was not premium it was like a Tesco food court. But we had dressed up for the premium as we wanted to celebrate and have a luxury dinner on our so-called reserved table. The food on the 78th floor was very bad, the chips I ate were very cold and out of taste. There were many drops of water on the floor especially near the drinks area and nobody was doing anything. The food was not up to the standard. We complained to the manager, the manager apologized and he said he will reserve us a table outside the balcony on the 81st floor for breakfast at 6 AM in the morning to see the sunrise. We compromised again. The next morning we woke up and we went up and found out there is no reservation for us AGAIN outside the balcony, and the breakfast is on the 78th floor and not on 81st again, MISLEADING information and lies again. Other Lies, When I checked in I asked the receptionist about the massage and he said I have to call in at 9 AM to book it. When I called in at 9 AM, the man I spoke to in massage said everything is fully booked today and tomorrow and they cannot do anything for us. I complained, I said to him we came specifically to be pampered and celebrate and have some romantic time with my wife, and you are giving me all this nonsense. He said to me to call the reception and sort out. I said to him “that is your job, you call and you find a solution” he said okay and he would call me back in 10 minutes, which he never did. After 40 minutes of waiting, I went downstairs to the reception andcomplained they finally got us a spot for the next day at 12:30 PM. We came here to relax and not to get stress. The massage on the next day was really great, the massage ladies were very nice and friendly. Finally, when we were checking out, the reception lady asked me “How would I like to pay by cash or card” I replied to her “Pay for what? Your lovely service”, apparently they wanted me to pay for our stay. But I had already paid fully in cash the day I checked-in, but that man had not logged in on the system. She asked me for the receipts which were inside the packed suitcase. She said she will go inside the office to look at the camera and it will take 15 minutes. We then unpacked and took the receipt out from my folder and showed it to her. She finally let us go. I would not RECOMMEND anyone to stay here, I would rather tell you to go to another hotel. This hotel will give you a lot of misleading information and stress. Which you don’t want on your holiday. Me and my wife we travel a lot and this is one of the worst the hotel we had stayed on. In addition, we also didn’t get the voucher for the mini-golf game on the 18th floor as they had promised and listed it on the package. Lastly, we were a staying guest in that hotel, and there were other people who came to eat at the buffet. Whilst going to our room we had to wait 9 minutes in a lobby for a lift, as there were so many outsider people waiting at the same time to go 81st or 78th floor. This was a big problem especially in the late afternoon and in the evening. They should give first priority to the guests who are already staying there. …
We have been regular guest at The Baiyoke Sky for a long time. They have recently upgraded their rooms and are a much better hotel now. However, some of the linen are quite old and needs to be changed. Overall a very nice hotel and the staff are especially friendly. The only thing we have discovered is their breakfast buffet is no longer as good, the spread is very much last then before.
