We stayed at the Banyan Tree in Bangkok for the first three nights when we arrived in Bangkok. We arrived early before check-in and were allowed to already stay in the pool area where we would get a locker and could already take a shower after the long flight. The day we checked out was a similar situationas we were...

We stayed in a suite and rate the Banyan Tree 5 star in everything - service, cleanliness, decor, comfort, location. The free late afternoon appetizers are so good and filling that you can make this your dinner - although too many great Bangkok restaurants within a kilometre to not want to get out and about. Special thanks to suite concierge...

From the moment we pulled up to the lit cauldron at the entrance we knew we were in for something special. We were greeted by friendly, smiling, courteous staff who seemed eager to please. This extended to reception when checking in. We had a Club Room and it was delightful. True 5 star hotel and as my wife agreed possbibly...

we had a table at the side looking over bangkok which was beautiful at night, being so high up you could see for miles. it was all open air and the food was great but more expensive than most places in Bangkok, however if such a place exisited in the Uk it would be utterly expensive so for the experience...

We stayed for 3 days prior to flying to Koh Samui. Pretty much everything about the hotel is 5 star. Room was big and spacious, staff were attentive and friendly. The dining room for Breakfast was good quality and there was plenty of choice of food. We also went to Vertigo and the Moon Bar which we really enjoyed (see...

OVERALL This hotel is truly a 5 star from the welcome at the front door where you receive a beautiful bracelet of handcrafted flowers, a cold towel and refreshing tea whilst you are checked in. This is a great start after a long flight from London! It is well positioned in the business district and in easy reach from most...

We went for a long weekend away to Bangkok and always wanted to try the Banyan tree, so this time we did. The room was very well appointed, a great bathroom and really comfortable bed. The staff were also brilliant from check-in to check-out. The knick-knacks and little items left by the turndown service were also fantastic. BUT The continued...

We arrived at the Banyan Tree after a very long flight from London. The welcoming we received was fantastic - cold towels to refresh ourselves with and a lovely juice drink. Check-in process took a little longer than experienced before, however we were soon greeted to our room on the 26th floor with our luggage. We stayed in one of...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
