The Sukhothai Bangkok garners appreciation for its prime yet peaceful location, convenient for all kinds of travelers. Guests rave about the luxurious amenities, particularly the vast pool and exquisite spa, while the hotel's atmosphere is lauded for its elegant Thai decor and soothing ambiance.

The Sukhothai Bangkok is located in Sathon, a posh and green neighbourhood with European influences, not too far from the MRT Lumphini Station and the new The One Bangkok mall complex.
Welcome was professional, but in chilling manner, leaving little doubt that any upgrade wishes would be denied despite booking availability online. Our first room showed a wet stain on the bathroom ceiling, which is why we switched rooms and received lounge access as an apology after one night.
The room's dimensions were OK, its design held in beautiful Thai wood colour and the courtyard view to a beautiful pond of lake roses combined with the smell of the Panpuri bathroom amenities allowed for some relaxation. The room is equipped with universal power plugs and a washlet, which must be applauded, while during night time, it was hard keeping the light out.
In general, the combination of green, ponds, trees, flowers and traditional Thai art works within the garden and public hotel areas is delightful. Nevertheless, the overly crowded breakfast restaurant's atmosphere was stressed and horrible despite its broad selection.
At the lounge, things were somewhat better, even though service was very slow on some days. Yet, cheese and sausage quality deserves praise, as well as the evening cocktail selection.
Also, most of the team members there were friendly and helpful.
The housekeeping was friendly, not perfect though. One day, our room had not been made after 6 hours, and even if it was made, work was not exactly thorough and especially special requests such as extra towels did not work oftentimes. Furthermore, the front door was not always taken care of properly.
Overall, the exterior of the hotel and its garden areas exceeded its actual overall performance.

Cannot fault this hotel it has the most beautiful large tranquil grounds and a stunning saltwater swimming pool that is never crowded and is seriously large.
In an up market area of Bangkok in the Embassy District close to Lumpini BTS.
It is peaceful. The staff are incredible. Breakfast is in a well appointed dining room and with the finest bone china and solid silver condiments and cutlery.
The gym is large and very well equipped with up-to-date machinery and lots of free weights and exercise balls. In the changing rooms of the gym are beautifully clean modern sauna steam room and Jacuzzi. Male and female of separate. Diptyke toiletries are provided in the Jim changing rooms which is really quite incredible.
We stayed in a suite overlooking the lily pool in the main building cannot fault it even had two bidet style toilets. Beautifully decorated with lots of silk and teak in a relaxing Thai style.
Big shout out to the best yoga teacher I have ever come across FOAM SHALITA she has She has such an extensive knowledge of all different types of Yoga and she runs classes that cover the different variations. She is very particular that the very correct positions are adopted so no danger of injury. She takes the time to really teach rather than just forming a succession of different sequences. I must have done nine hours of yoga with her over the days that I spent at the hotel and I learned more from her in those nine hours than I have in 40 years of doing yoga.
The staff in the club lounge were without exception, great fun, professional and hard workers. We loved going there and chatting to them in the evenings.
We can’t wait to come back !

Words cannot describe the out-of-this-world experience at the buffet! It’s actually in two different rooms so you can discover desserts and a plethora of cheese in the other room. & Let’s talk about the world of cheese. Master Chef Frederic gave us a personal tour & his knowledge of cheese combined with his great personality was Exhilarating! Honestly, I don’t have a lot of cheese knowledge, but after five minutes with Chef Frederic—maybe I can teach a course! Welcome to the world of cheese. And, so refreshing to always see K. Ploy, a wonderful lady, with a fabulous haircut, who signed us up for the platinum package. She is always so friendly and I hope she works here forever! The pastries are very diverse. You have one that is from an average bakery in France to vanilla ice cream with the best vanilla from Chiang Mai. & the chef from Lebua was there, along with another restaurant owner. Chef Frederic talked about the evolution of his career, trying to be super creative and fancy, to going back to the basics and just giving the people what they want. For example, the flan was really good. My hat is off to Chef Frederic—any buffet can have good food, but elevating your culinary knowledge from a friendly, great sense of humor World class Master Chef is a whole ‘nother level. They had sashimi, crab, prawns, stewed fish, sushi, different types of meat, honesty—I can’t even list them all here. The ice sculptures were really works of art & I wanted to take One home 😂 Also, K. Pim had superb service. The interior is very nice. There is live music. The seats are very comfortable. It was quite quiet with very well mannered customers which made it very peaceful. I can be a bit picky, but couldn’t find any bad parts whatsoever. It was like rainbows and butterflies. I highly recommend this buffet. It might be a bit pricey, but is totally worth it and it’s important in life to treat yourself to the best. I can tell you that there were definitely things that we weren’t even able to try which means we have to go back next time and it’s really great like reading a good book that leaves you wanting more. There was a new dessert item that was special to the chef’s heart and it was really really good. I won’t tell you what it is, but you’ll have to figure it out and try it! If you walk in these doors, your heart’s desire will come true.

Dear Ron Adams, Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review. We are truly delighted to hear that you had such an exceptional experience at our Sunday Brunch. It is wonderful to know that Chef Frederic’s cheese tour and his insights into culinary artistry added such a memorable touch to your visit. We are equally pleased that Khun Ploy’s warm and attentive service contributed to making your time with us even more special. Your description of the variety of offerings, from the sashimi and fresh seafood to the desserts and live music, captures the essence of what we aim to provide—an immersive, world-class dining experience in a serene setting. We appreciate your kind words about the ambiance, the artistic ice sculptures, and the overall comfort of the brunch. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, and we hope to surprise and delight you with even more culinary creations that leave you with lasting memories. Warm regards, The Sukhothai Bangkok

Although Sukhothai Bangkok is located in the heart of Bangkok, once you step inside the area, you will find a very quiet and elegant stay. The Thai-style Buddha statues and lush courtyard are also soothing. The staff are all very friendly and the service is excellent, allowing high-quality adults to enjoy a relaxing and elegant stay. The rooms incorporate a Thai-style design but are warm and relaxing, allowing for a relaxing stay, and the pool is not extravagant but very comfortable, making it perhaps the best in Bangkok. It's a hotel I would like to visit again.

We spent 7 nights at the Sukhothai Hotel. The Sukhothai is a top-class hotel that leaves nothing to be desired. We had a spacious room in the club wing (club room no. 596) on the 5th floor with a view of the pool and the newly created spa area. The rooms are equipped with a very spacious bathroom (2 washbasins, 1 shower, 1 bathtub) and a separate toilet. There is also a large walk-in closet that functions as an anteroom to the bathroom. There is enough storage space, drawers, clothes rails and coat hangers as well as bathrobes and slippers. We were able to check in in a private lobby that belongs specifically to the club area, so we didn't have to wait. The club offer also includes a generous breakfast selection in a private atmosphere (6th floor) and a small evening buffet. The team in the club lounge (lobby, bar and buffet) is always extremely attentive and very helpful. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at the Club Lounge (Tar, Breeze, Gift, Kratai, Ploy, Miya, Benz, Maria) for the perfect care during our stay. The great and high-quality breakfast in the Colonnade Restaurant, which is also part of the hotel, deserves special mention. Many of the dishes on offer are made by the kitchen team themselves (various breads, baked goods, yoghurt, salmon, etc.). Fruit juices are freshly prepared on site and the "warm stations" are also very carefully prepared and every guest's wish is taken into account. There are no ready-made or semi-finished products at the buffet, the attention to detail is noticeable here too (many thanks to the Danish chef and his entire team). A special area is the spacious and beautifully designed pool and the relaxation area in the garden, adjacent to the pool. There are enough places, parasols and beach towels. Refreshing drinking water is also served free of charge. We can recommend the hotel without reservation and will definitely stay here again on our next stay in Bangkok.

Overall good, the food is quite complete. There is seafood (lobster, crab legs, crabs, shrimp, black clams, razor clams), various types of oysters (very good). There are Western, Thai (salad, small khao soi), Japanese (good) stations. Nokrill (complete) But the food was rather bland, the shrimp was messy, the crab was messy, like food that had been cooked in the back of the kitchen and then put out. So it lacked juiciness) There was Antipasti, a lot of different types of cheese, desserts, ice cream (very ordinary. There's just a lot of them. Like sweets at a conference Desserts are not complicated, basic cakes, basic tarts, macarons, Thai desserts, mango sticky rice, Thong Yip Yod, Foi Thong, basic flavor ice cream, no decorations (decorate), good drink packages, good taste, very good service, the atmosphere of the shop is airy, the ceiling is high, but there is Roof water stains all around, but clean, small tables, seats arranged quite close together. The atmosphere is therefore not very cozy. Not as relaxing as it should be. Overall, when comparing the prices (Food 3900++ Drink 480++, total around 5,000 per person), I think it's not bad, but not very good compared to the price and I think there are places that can do well. than at a better price Especially desserts and grilled stations. I'll go again soon.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sukhothai again for six nights in the club wing. According to their records, this was our 20th stay, and I believe this speaks for itself why we keep returning. It may not be the most exlusive hotel in Bangkok, but for us it is the best. The Sukhothai is like a resort hotel, with casual but yet elegant atmosphere. If you have no desire to leave the property, you can easily spend a relaxing and peaceful day by the large swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds; the service provided there is excellent. The new SPA will open soon and as I understood it, the renovation of the rooms will be completed shortly as well. The location is great as there is a subway station nearby, which is very convenient if you want to move around Bankgok swiftly and avoid the notorious traffic jam. The staff is absolutly great, and I wish to express our thanks to all of them, in particular to the entire team of the club floor, to Khun Anchi who is in charge of Colonnade, where breakfast is served and to Khun Bird, the pool manager. You always find a hair to split if you will, and for us the only flaw is the furniture of the Colonnade, which urgently needs a face lift as it is very old worn and not really up to what you would expect from a five star venue. In any case, you don’t have to kiss many frogs to find the right one, this is it and The Sukhothai simply is too tantalizing to resist! We look forward to our next visit, which hopefully will be longer than only six days.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your heartfelt review of The Sukhothai Bangkok, particularly highlighting your 20th stay with us! It's incredibly rewarding to know we've consistently provided you and your partner with a relaxing and luxurious experience. We appreciate your honest feedback regarding the exclusivity aspect. While we may not boast the most exclusive title, we strive to create a unique haven of casual elegance within Bangkok. We're thrilled to hear you find the pool area so inviting, and we're excited for the upcoming opening of our new spa and completion of room renovations. We're confident these enhancements will further elevate your future stays. The convenient location near the subway station is a definite advantage, as you mentioned. We're grateful for your kind words about our exceptional staff, especially the Club Floor team, Khun Anchi at Colonnade, and Khun Bird, the pool manager. We'll be sure to share your appreciation with them. Regarding the Colonnade furniture, we value your feedback and understand your desire for an ambiance that reflects our five-star standards. We're continuously seeking ways to improve, and your comment will be taken into careful consideration. Thank you for acknowledging that "you don't have to kiss many frogs to find the right one," and for finding The Sukhothai simply irresistible! We eagerly await your next visit, hopefully longer than six days. Sincerely, The Sukhothai Bangkok Team

Reservation via Navigator Reservation and Reservation confirmation mail If reservation is not available at the hotel, Reservation issues can sometimes occur. Sometimes we talk about getting connectivity rooms, so connecting must be excluded. Confirmed and posted on the checklist, but no Reservation confirmation, sending the re-confirmation mail, except for the Connecting Room, to the Non-Smoking Room. And asking for confirmation about the Reservation confirmation, the Reservation confirmed and already checked in the checklist. The concierge at the check-in on the day of your stay says in person whether or not you requested the exclusion of noobsmocking, connecting rooms. Tell me you're right and get a room guide. The guided room was a narrower room than I thought and the structure was a little weird. It was a connecting room, but I checked it twice and the concierge confirmed it, so of course it would be a strange room. After shopping, I returned to my hostel at about 9 a.m. and I heard the sound of the TV and the next door right next door. When I realized that it was a connected room, I called the concierge and asked him if this room was a connected room? He said it was a connected room. (Sometimes it was a messy thing) I asked him to check if he had not asked me to move to the new room except for a connected room, and I asked him to check if he had not received a properly set room. What is an old and traditional hotel, it seems like a non-essential hotel for customer service. A hotel with no basic service is just an old hotel. Of course the kindness of some staff was good. But because of the image of the first day, the perception of the hotel was low, and the response from the concierge was the worst. Even if you're visiting Bangkok again, you won't be staying in Sukhothai. Other than that, the water in the shower is not going down well, turn-down service but the cleanliness is not very good, breakfast types are not varied and there are flies or mosquitoes sitting on breakfast fruits or food. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from a convenience store or dining store, the hotel's traffic is heavy and it takes less than 10 minutes to get into the hotel by taxi, and the amenity is named only Panfuria and Made Incheon. Customers drink free water outside the refrigerator, only paid water or beverages are placed in the refrigerator and there is no room in the refrigerator.

The Sukhothai Bangkok is a 5* experience from the moment you check in and receive a scented cool towel to wash off your days travels and a lovely cool drink. Your bags are taken to your room where you are given an orientation and the adventure then begins. The restaurants are top-notch. I dined at La Scala the Italian restaurant and others I met dined at Celadon and said it was superb. The breakfast in the Colonnade is elegant and bountiful whether you’re looking for an English practice or a continental one you won’t be disappointed. The coffee is delicious. I spent an afternoon at the pool and wish I’d had more time to spend lounging on a cabana. The Pool Terrace offers a lovely snack menu. I had the Vietnamese spring rolls and satay skewers. The pool is beautiful. I didn’t get to try this spa that has been recently renovated however did speak with others that said it was perfect. If ever, I am back in Bangkok, I will definitely stay at this gem.

This was our second time staying at the Sukhothai and we really liked it again. The hotel is one of our favorite hotels in Bangkok and is characterized by a special flair. Very beautiful individual buildings (not a high-rise for once), top pool and many small details, such as works of art. The long, beautiful driveway from Sathon Road is impressive. We had very nice club rooms with access to the lounge. The very friendly and attentive staff, including club manager Thar, deserve special mention here. The breakfast is excellent, leaves nothing to be desired and is one of the best we have experienced. The location in the Sathon district near Lumpini Park is good, if not ideal. A metered taxi to Sathon Pier (Chao Phraya Expressboat) cost around 70 - 100 Baht. Silom Road with the BTS station Sala Daeng is around 20 to 25 minutes away on foot.

Hi, sorry for my late reply. As far I know, I don't think that this hotel is ALSQ. Also, I believe the nearest MRT station is Lumpini station and this should be about 10 mins walk from the hotel :)
Yes, there are Club Rooms in the new wing as well as we stay there once last year. This new building is just beside the swimming pool and has the executive lounge on the same building.
There are more places to choose from in the Bangkok area.
