You are in exalted company with Presidents and Emperors staying here! The Superior room too had butler service available. The location is excellent with partial river view from even the base rooms. The butler allotted to us ThewinThr was really very good. Went out of his way to look after our smallest need. Wifi was not up to the mark...

This just feels like home. Lovely rooms. Peaceful, clean, contain everything. The warm welcome as you arrive. The Bamboo bar is just one of the very best, and the service is first class. Also love the cigar room (not for everyone i know), but just adds to the ambiance. The refurb of the Authors lounge is simply magnificent. We had...

The last time I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, TripAdvisor didn't exist. Of course, it was known as The Oriental then. Well, things don't change, fortunately. The hotel was great then and nothing's changed. Institutions like this are iconic not because of architecture, or the fittings in the rooms, or the location and so on. The Oriental is what it...

We returned after a very long absence to find the same standard of excellence, service, hospitality, etc. Truly one of Thailand and Asia's grand hotels. Many try, not all succeed. Our suite was beautifully fitted and had a lovely river view overlooking the French embassy.

Still the grande dame of Bangkok - it's upgraded, unmatched location on both sides of the river, rooms designed to face the river, shuttle to the BTS Station, the best massage experience ever at their Spa, Author's Lounge and Red Pork Curry at Sala Rim Naam are reasons enough.

The best hotel experience for years - Superb setting on the river and wonderful views from the room. An excellent breakfast buffet and superb, attentive but not fawning staff. The international buffet on the terrace is excellent and good value but beware of the special evenings like Valentines night when the price appears to be tripled. The pool is lovely...

We stayed here for our last day in Thailand, we could say this hotel is the best we had had during the stay in Thailand. The bed is soft and comfortable, we stayed at other hotel and bed was just firm like sleeping on the rock. Breakfast was excellent plus hotel service was excellent.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
