We had a wonderful stay at MO bkk, specially the attention to detail, and also the lovely breakfast every morning, and the rooms were impeccable. We felt, very comfortable and at home, and the service is very non intrusive, and done well. Looking forward to coming back soon !
The MO BKK quickly made its way into our hearts and to the top of our favorite “city hotels” lists, contending with a Parisian Palace hotel for that top spot. From check in to check out, the service and hospitality exceeded expectations. The hotel is a stunning property, and the views of the river and greenery make it feel like a sanctuary. Our room and view from it were fantastic. The hard product is in excellent condition across the board. What really stood out though, were the people. The hospitality at MO BKK is top notch. We felt so welcome, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to answer questions, offer guidance and assist. The concierge team went above and beyond with assistance in booking activities and restaurants - from advice on options, to confirming and even walking us to the location, taking pictures, and surprising us with print outs of those shots when we arrived back. Even at airport drop off, an MO hotel representative was waiting for us to take us from the curbside to the check in desk, get us checked in, and the to the right security line. We cannot wait to return!…
The best hotels in town. Great service all area in hotels. Great restaurant such as LeNormandie, Verandah and Kinu by Takagi. In my stay, buffet breakfast have sparkling wine, coconut juice. EggBenedict is food. The best of the best for me is Service, Food and Wine at LeNormandie.
Warm and welcome treats we’ve got were so impressed. It’s such a pleasure time. In-room service or the restaurants were more than expectation. The Breakfast’s so enjoyable. Every request was perfectly responded. Definitely come back.
Excellent services and the best experiences ever. Staff made you feel welcome and services from their hearts. They care on every single request and kindness to you. We spent only two nights and feel the time fly so fast because it is truly enjoy every minute in the hotel. We decided to have most of our meals in the hotel because it is a place where we feel truly relaxed even you are stay in Bangkok. I really love this hotel and we are MO fans.
Magnificent in every way. Highlights: - The passionate, caring, super kind and friendly staff who love to please and spoil their guests. That goes from the GM to the butler to the housekeeper and the pool attendant. Everyone, without exception. - food is great in taste, quality, presentation, variety and of course the legendary service. My favorites: Breakfast buffet at the Riverside terrace. Yes, it was open again, and it's part of this legend. Sticky rice with Mango for breakfast. - Delicious! Dinner Buffet at Lord Jim's. What a fantastic place fromA to Z. Try to go when it's just getting dark. - The rooms: Ok, crazy expensive, but for a "once in a lifetime" experience, the premier suites are outstanding and not just two single rooms combined.
Outstanding service with friendly staff, the room is well decorated with best view of Chao Phraya River, amazing place for an afternoon tea with best service, Bamboo bar is the best jazz bar, Food experienced at Le Normandie by Alain Roux is well recommended and Good Spa with very experienced therapist.
Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is a gem. From the moment you check in you feel surrounded by elegance and kindness. The building itself from the outside doesn't show the magnificence of the interiors and the garden/swimming pool area. The rooms are very cozy. They have a king size bed with a mattress I have never found in any other hotel. I had a balcony room directly on the Chao Praya river with stunning views. The best parts of the hotel in my opinion are the Author's lounge, the main hall and especially the swimming pool area. MO's swimming pool might be the best in Bangkok...it's 2.20 m deep and it's surrounded by a nice garden. The breakfast deserves a review for itself...it's like to be in a royal wedding. Staff wears light green uniforms and you can simply find anything you want to eat..from sushi to bbq to wild curated salmon to fresh coconuts. Unofortunately some of the restaurants were closed and we did not have enough time to try those that were open. Staff is extremely nice...they even made sure my mom had a cake (very delicious) in her room for her birthday. Go to MO Bangkok...there is no other hotel like it (and I have been many many times in Bangkok).…
We finally had the opportunity to visit the Mandarin Oriental group's Flagship. It was our 15th hotel from the group, so we have a basis for comparison with the others. Maybe our disappointment was because our expectations were too high for the “Oriental” hotel and for having already visited so many other wonderful hotels. So you always expect more from the Flagship. Positives Aspects: The hotel is very beautiful, good location, comfortable rooms, large pool, cozy bar and very polite and helpful staff (especially those at the pool and bar). guest are diverse, young people, older people, couples and children. You'll have the facilities of a 5-star hotel, but nothing different from other hotels of the same level. And here's what's missing: you will only be 1 more guest. There are countless examples that, for those who are used to the hotels of the group and other similar hotels, draw attention in a negative way. Some of them: - EVERY time you enter the hotel you have to explain that you are a guest (and that you are not just going to the restaurant) - restaurants and bars do not give priority to hotel guest’s. - You walk around the hotel and no one from the management greets you and asks how your stay is (we had a problem with reservations and I asked to speak with the manager, I'm still waiting…) - as written above the manager ignored us, which for a fan of the group staying at the 15th hotel and returning for the second time on the same trip to his hotel, expects a little more than being ignored. - of all the 15 MO hotels we have already visited, this was the only one that doesn't welcome guests with a personalized letter (not a problem but just another example to explain the impersonality) - on the same trip we stayed at the hotel twice, for a total of 6 nights. When we came back for the second time it was as if no one had ever seen us before. Usually in other hotels the manager waits for you (they knew what time we would arrive), gives you a warm welcome back, etc.) - Guests are divided into tables with small flowers and big ones. Those few that have big flowers I assume are in the best rooms and are treated differently (which I agree). But treating others like ghosts is a bit of a stretch. - You pay (and a lot by Thailand standards!) to be picked up at the airport and take the PCR test at your hotel. We need to wait in the room for 8 hours until the result. It costs nothing for the hotel to leave small snacks in the room, for example, to make these 8 hours more special. That's it! A good 5 star hotel that offers what it should. Impersonal and for the poor mortals with a small flower, don't expect anything from the management not even an “ual” factor that will make you remember the hotel among the others.…
First overseas trip since Covid. MO Bangkok helped us meet all Thai health requirements in place at time. The hotel was spotlessly clean, all staff masked, and distancing observed. Liked the environmentally friendly packaging of in room products. Felt especially welcome through our entire stay as Fans of MO. Wonderful time at MO Bangkok and very pleased to be back!
