When we checked in, we were told about and even given vouchers for the 'free included' breakfast. after the second day's breakfast we were then informed that we were now responsible to pay the bill for both days! what a scam. DO NOT stay here.

My partner and I stayed at the Montien in March for 5 nights. We were very impressed with the hotel and the facilities it provided. We became good friends with one of the guys on the concierge desk and he was able to recommend places for us to go. He also recommended a very good tailor for us to use...

First of all, this hotel is not a four star hotel,it is not more than three. Rooms are old, especially the bathrooms. Even the ded sheets are old and bad looking, they have old stains, and holes. The hotel is at the so-called city center, right across the Patpong street where it is impossible to walk or shop as 90%of...

We stayed at the Montien On two occasions at the beginning and end of our Thailand trip. We booked via Asia rooms and found this to be much cheaper than booking directly with the hotel. We stayed on bed & breakfast basis. On Our first stay we were in a superior double room which overlooked the swimming pool. Bedding and...

What a fantastic hotel! Grand, beautiful and luxurious. I ended my 5 days trip of Thailand on a high. The rooms are fantastic - large and splendidly decorated. The hotel has great amenities and the pool is lovely to cool off in the hot sticky city. Well located it is easy to get about on the sky train.A special mention...

A true oasis in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok & Patpong Night market opposite the hotel. The rooms are comfortable (4*) with good Air con and mini bar that you can use to store your own drinks in from the 7/11 across the road. The staff are very helpful. There is a nice coffee shop just outside the hotel,...

We stayed here for one night, but we're for sure that we definitely stay here again on our next Thailand trip. Very nice atmosphere, live music with a very good singer in the lobby. Staff is very helpful. Also the guard at the door is very pleasant when it comes to arranging a taxi driver.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
