If you wanting to stay in Chinatown, then this is a good choice. Walk out front into the heart of Chinatown, Starbucks at front of lobby and plenty of little shops connected to the hotel. Room we got was on the 22nd floor, great views from our room of the city, river and over Chinatown. Draw back is only 1...

Quite nice staying here, clean and comfortable, you can't expect much tough, it is a starred hotel. Located near china town night food market. It has 360 degrees revolving restaurant at 25th floor, nice view but only have few european and few Mediterranean menus.

Cheap, relatively modern, and good service. Main selling point is the location in the heart of Chinatown. Walking distance to food court night markets and endless shopping streets. I recommend eating in the the turning restaurant on top during nighttime to experience a beautiful view of Bangkok's skyline.

We stayed here for one night, and I can say luckly. Hotel is pretty old, and the rooms are poor and not been "updated" for obviously years and years before. Although, staff was really nice and helpful, they helped us find a taxi, carried our bags etc, the service we didn't recieve past 5 days in Phuket. So thank you...

location is in the heart of Bangkok China town, one of the busiest walking food street in Bangkok. Great place to spend night time. Hotel has great view, no blocking view from the surrounding. Overlooking the grand palace and Chaopraya river. Convenient to reach many tourist attractions. Finally, must try delicious Chinese restaurant on 8th floor!!

Conveniently by Chinatown and Sampeng market. Starbucks and food court below. Excellent to stay when traveling with young children. Hotel room old and small but bearable when you're out of hotel often and just using it as a base. View and atmosphere at the 360 sky lounge upstairs recommended for day and night.

We have just stayed at the Grand China. It is in a great location for shopping or out for food, as it is at a busy junction it is nice to just sit in the restaurant downstairs and people watch too if walking around gets a bit too much! Walking distance to temples We stayed for 2 nights which was...

Just a short step out to street-side atmosphere and eateries and close by markets, gold stores and to the river with it's abundance of ferries. The room was clean and spacious, the included breakfast fantastic...especially if you love an omelette with your Thai food and the staff were helpful and friendly. The pool on the 23rd floor is tiny, don't...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
