Just checking in to say what a great experience the staff at the JW Marriott in Bangkok have provided over the last year. Stayed at the JWM for business recently, it's a quality hotel in the middle of the city. I was staying for one night and got upgraded to a trendy corner street which was really comfortable. It is located next to a fairly sleepy shopping mall as well as one of the red-light areas in BKK. Breakfast was good.

We have been returning the JW Marriott here year after year for many reasons: comfortable beds/rooms, great food, good location. But most of all we return for the service in the Executive Lounge. We are remembered and feel like family. The service and food is exceptional. We love seeing Chef Cindy in the morning as well as seeing Aum, Tang,...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
