Location is great but the hostel itself is not that great. Rooms are very tiny and not that clean. Breakfast was very good. Staff could be more friendly. Overall I had a nice stay. No complains as such apart from cleanliness.

This hostel has a good location as it is far enough away from Khaosan so as to not be noisy but is still a very short walk away. It is closer to Rambuttri road which is much more chilled out. The hostel itself is very clean, nice showers and helpful staff. The air conditioning was a big plus. If I...

Unfortunately we stayed for 2 nights only. It's really nice, good location, awesome breakfast, friendly people working at this beautiful place. The showers are clean and good as well. Even though its really close zo Khao San Road it's not noisy at it is situated not directly in Khao San Road....just 1 min walk away.

Very clean, very safe, very friendly, very social. Highly recommend the cabin dorms! The staff do their best to cater to every request, and they're always happy! Evan at the front desk is one of the hardest working people I've met!! The security is great and the staff take it very seriously! The hostel is less than a 5 minute...

A bit overpriced. Good location and security, as you could lock the whole bunk. However you needed to sleep with the door open to let fresh air in (or to even feel something from the (paid for) aircon), however the lights were constantly on. Nice that they had cotton padds and cotton buds in the bathroom however when we get...

This hostel is in the center of Bangkok and has everything you need. A bed with some privacy, good breakfast, clean showers and a nice common room to meet people. The hostel is 24/7 open and deliveres good service. The retro vibe helps to feel you're on a holiday!

Turned up in Bangkok during the summer at around 01:30 and straight away felt welcomed by the Suneta Family! Got us booked in with no dramas before pointing us towards the minifridge stocked with beers and soft drinks! Thankyou very much!! Absolutely brilliant place to meet other people with the foyer being used as a social area, look out for...

We stayed in the private room for 4 nights and was slightly bigger than expected. The general communal areas are nice and clean including the bathroom and shower areas. The cabin dorm is also comfortable enough although we found this out by the fact our final night in the private room was not registered yet our deposit paid. So we...

It's a great hostel, close enough to Khao San Road if you fancy drinking, but far away enough that you don't feel overwhelmed by it. Super friendly staff. They were great when someone's key broke in the lock and got it sorted straight away, with a smile. The breakfast isn't very inspiring if you're a veggie, but there are always...

I arrived here as a first time solo traveller in Thailand. I liked it so much, that I booked the hostel again for the last few days of my trip. I stayed in the cabin bed dorm. The beds were very comfy and felt private. You have your own light, fan and plug sockets. You also have your own TV...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
