Pretty good location as it's walking distance to Khao San Road and couples of temples. May not be easily located by the taxi driver though as it's off the main road. The deluxe room is rather small with a queen sized bed. No optional dark curtain shades which means you've to wake up at 6am plus following the sun. Breakfast...

Walking distance to several of the major temples in BK (the grand palace, wat arun, wat pho), very friendly staff always happy to help with recommendations, clean and safe facilities, rooms with AC. Recommend to get a room on the second floor because on the first floor you might hear footsteps.

Get the junior suite, which is upstairs so you don't near the patter of feet on your ceiling. This double-bed room has light streaming in from windows on three sides and overlooks the garden patio. The unique private bathroom/shower makes you feel like you are outdoors. This room is super quiet, except for a weird squawking sound in the middle...

Hotel was very clean and peaceful. Staff was friendly and always helpful with questions and recommendations. Located within a couple miles of most major attractions. A/c worked well in the room, thankfully - you'll need it after the Bangkok heat. Really enjoyed our stay here!

A very nice place with antique stylish furniture. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The place is centrally located, but a bit hidden in a quiet backstreet. You can have an English breakfast in the backyard underneath palmtrees. We would definitely come again.

My cousin and I couldn't find fault in this lovely hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend! The rooms were adorable and very clean. The main thing that stood out was the customer service, I couldn't fault it, thank you so much...

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay back in Dec 2016. The hotel staff we amazing, very helpful and accommodating. The morning breakfast was delicious and our rooms were always spotless. We loved our room! Our only pain point was our bathroom. Like many hotel bathrooms in Thailand, our bathroom was somewhat open to outside, which was very aesthetically...

This Hotel is amazing. Room was big, clean, bed really comfortable! Bathroom was really picturesque! and we had our private "jacuzzi" or mini swimming pool with hydromassage. Nice staff, TV, safe box, minibar (complimentary water and snack), desktop, amazing breakfast, and the better thing; the LOCATION is perfect! just a few minutes to Khao san Road and many attractions in...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Baan Noppawong is the finest small hotel located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, in the middle of Bangkok historical district. In the past, it was a two-story wooden house exquisitely built in the 19th century, during the reign of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), for M.L. Ditsaphong Noppawong and Mrs. Salee Noppawong Na Ayudhaya. Nowadays the dilapidated house has been renovated by preserving its original characteristic and gorgeous elements. ... more   less
