You get what you pay for. Decently clean basic rooms with AC and a few ants exploring the beds at night. The staff couldn't have been less friendly and helpful even if they had try. Quite well located and communicated by public transport.

As i stayed here before. decided to stay here again. This time got a room overlooking the road, big mistake: but too noisy 24/7 cannot sleep. If you stay do not get a window room!! Also, i have to say that this is a no frills hotel. Does what it says, but that is as far as it goes. Not...

Stayed in Thara House for two nights in different rooms. First one had one big bed. Good to get some rest after long time of flying. The other one had two seperated beds. Both rooms had airconditioning, nice bedroom and were clean. The hostel has an ideal location near Khao San Road. Prices vary because of different room types. It...

Hotel is in a very good location, a 5 minute walk away from the khaosan road. Staff seem very disinterested and not really willing to help. The rooms are reasonably clean, very basic but everything you need, There were a lot of small ants in the room and which were also on the bed. The wifi barely works apart from...

I've been there for 3 nights while staying in Bangkok. Very clean room but a little bit noisy early in the morning or late in the evening as the windows are very thin. They provided clean linen every day and free coffee and cakes from 6 am to 10am. The staff was very friendly. The room has got tv and...

The receptionist does not care of your questions or your stories. They want only to see money... Place is really noise and dirty. No elevator and they put u always in the last floor. The only good thing is that was 5 min from Kao san road.

I was in a double room, very clean as the bathroom. Small but confortable and enough to sleep by night and visit Bangkok by day. Location is perfect, 2min from the Chao phraya express boatbus pier (n13) and Khaosan area. Easy to reach by foot the spots in the historical zone. The window was on the tiny parking so not...

Its located in the heart of Khao San road and pretty easy to find as one can get a cheap minivan from Suvarnabhumi airport (about 1 hr in normal traffic condition just for 150Baht) - it is especially helpful if one arrives in the airport in the early morning when the BTS hasnt started. The hotel is very near to...

The hotel is very near to phra atit pier and khaosan road ia just few minutes walking. Rooms are small But comfortable. The hotel provided breakfast every morning. One drawback is there was no lift. So we had to carry our luggage to third floor.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
