The Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is lauded for its spacious, well-furnished rooms that offer breathtaking river views, although some guests consider the pricing steep. Its riverside location provides serene scenery and easy ferry access to key attractions, albeit slightly removed from the city's heart.
Guests frequently commend the luxurious and artistic ambiance of the hotel, as well as its pristine cleanliness. The wide array of amenities, including diverse dining options and a lavish pool, receive high marks, yet some travelers question the overall value, citing costly services that don't always meet expectations.

Detailed Reviews
First impression was really important and you win it. Your staff showed us how attentive they are since the moment our car wasn’t fully stopped. The guy who greeted us, send us stuffs and picked us from the room (sorry i can’t remember the name) could maintain a very polite and professional manner and gesture through our stay.
The room was spacious and well decorated. So in Love with your bed and in room lighting. MFK amenities made me want to find the reason to bathe any possible time. Turndown service were neat and impressive. I couldn’t get over how you put our bouquet in vase and other thoughtful details you put in.
Pool and gym staffs are also perfect. The smiles had never faded from their faces. (K.View in gym was really helpful, thank you) Gym facilities were new and clean with latest version machines. Even though we were not fully comfortable with the fact that there were a lot of people walking around us and took pictures at the river front pool while we were swimming but we did understand that the space has its price and you need to utilize at its best.
Breakfast was great as well. Your perfect croissant could beat any front-liners in this Bangkok’s croissant waves at this time. Juices were fresh and taste wonderful, served in ideal quality of glass and crystalware which really enhanced the experience of eating( your choice of glassware in room and all the outlets were just stunning)
We had lunch at Palmier and enjoyed most of the moment. Panfried Sole ,grilled chicken , seabass tartare and marinated sardine had our votes, perfect! Nicoise salad supposed to be easily forgotten but No! Surprisingly, it tasted heaven. Foiegras were a bit too strong for some but still good.
The manager and crews were so attentive. We love how the lady who took care of us could observe the needs and recommend things professionally. The only flaw right here was a male crew who gradually showed an undesirable attitude and finished with a doubtful gesture when he handed us a bag of 2 pound Milles Feuilles (recommended) that we couldn’t finish in house. His attitude were seen easily from distant and it was even more noticeable when you were among excellent teammates.
But okay, anyone could have a bad day and this could be his. I still trust in the overall quality of Four Seasons that every components seemed to be hand-picked with class and it shows.
Well-done!

I stayed at this hotel for the second half of my visit to Bangkok. Upon arrival we were welcomed very nicely and escorted to the reception. I noticed that it was quite busy and later discovered that this was due to the arrival of a big group. Unfortunately our room was not ready yet (even though we arrived after 15:00) so we had to wait. This can happen, but complimentary coffee would have been nice!
The lobby has a stunning design and it decorated with art. If you get lost there is plenty of staff who are happy to help you around. Eventually we were escorted to our river front room. Gorgeous views! The room is has a gorgeous interior, spacious bathroom and is equipped with an iPad that allows you to request additional toiletries, housekeeping and make reservations.
However the hotel slippers are extremely cheap-looking for a Four Seasons hotel. They are very basic and not branded. Also, we looked down on the grey rooftop of the Italian restaurant which is not nice. If this would be covered with grass/plants it would be 10 times better.
The breakfast was perfection. It had a wide variety of bread/pastries/fruits/yoghurt/juices and you can also order freshly made eggs. The breakfast hall has a classic coffee bar in the middle which makes it feel very cosy! We had dinner in the lobby, because the hotel does not have a Thai restaurant. The lobby however, offers a few delicious thai dishes!
The swimming pool is a nice spot to relax after a busy day. Beautiful design.
Check out was perfect. They called a taxi for us and helped with our luggage.
In general, this hotel has stunning interior and exterior and good service, but does have a few points that could make it even better.

Best staycation spot/hotel at the Chao Phraya Riverside Bangkok with contemporary and stylish hotel lanscaping, extraordinary architecture, and tantalizing restuarant cuisines.
Stayed at the Premier river view room 501 during the new years eve and got the chance to see the incredible fireworks right in front of the hotel - definitely a crazy experience. Hotel staffs are extremely passionate and helpful; I admire the fact that they pay close attention to customers and react instantly to provide their needs.
The YuTingYuan restuarant (cantonese cuisine) and the afternoon tea is a must-try, I highly recommend these two to all of the visitors.
To all the travellers that often visit a lot of Bangkok five star hotels... if you have the opportunity to stay here, you’ll feel that FSBangkok has some distinctive features that are wayyyyyy beyond five stars.
Some drawbacks:
1. I personally don’t really like their bed - a bit too stiff to lay on, especially for a long sleep.
2. The sound of the air conditioner is too loud.

The service is as one would expect from The Four Seasons – Impeccable. The place was beautifully designed with an open bathroom concept which is the latest in interior designs these days. Unfortunately, I can't give it five stars because of these two experiences that I can't seem to forget.
I was unable to get a table at either of the restaurants on a Saturday night. The hotel itself was not that busy, but a lot of non-hotel guests booked reservations for dinner. I think they should allocate a certain percentage of tables to their guests.
What was even more upsetting was my experience at the BKK Social Club, which is their version of the hotel lounge/bar. I had a difficult evening in the city. When I arrived back at the hotel, I was looking forward to having a quick drink at the bar that evening. When I arrived, I was told by the hostess they weren't admitting new patrons. I asked why and she gave me several reasons which I debunked.
1. “We close at 11”. It's not yet 11.
2. “We don't have anymore indoors seating”. The rooms are opened to the outside and I could clearly see they had indoor seating; plus I was willing to take an outdoors seat.
3. “We stop serving at 10:30”. I looked at my phone; it was 10:10. At this point, I just left.
I have never been a guest in a hotel where I was denied entry to their bar during operation hours. I can't speak to the hostess' motivation, but it felt like she was being discriminant about who she was letting in.
Anyway you look at this situation, the name and the whole concept of the 'BKK Social Club' seem more like a 1951 notion than one in 2021 when most of us are trying to be more socially conscious and inclusive of others. The owners should really consider re-branding and retraining this part of the hotel.
To the hotel's credit, they did attempt to make up for this after I had complained. However, the stain was already there in my memory. I don't think I will be back given there are many other 5 star options in BKK. I also don't know how they would prioritize guests over outsiders post-Covid when hotel bookings pick up.

The Four Seasons Chao Phraya River is a beautiful hotel with great genuine staff. My experience at the hotel, however, was impacted by the overcrowding of wedding guests in many of the hotel’s common areas. The Chinese restaurant is Michelin-stared and is quite difficult to get a seat even for a small party (I was a party of 1 and did not get a seat). The guest room is beautiful and well-equippped. The view of the river from the room is stunning.

Living up to the standard of four seasons, the hotel interior is neatly designed with modern twist. Hotel vibe is somehow reminded me of four seasons in seoul, or central district in Hong Kong. This is a great location to take a breather in city. The hotel also offers river view (though opposite side has construction).
One drawback I could think of is minor trash (from previous guest) was found in room but upon calling housekeeping, they quickly addressed it after with heartfelt handwritten apology letter. Though I found it very minor, this could be concerning point for some concerning on cleanliness especially during pandemic.
Last thing, since it is the booming location in bangkok now, one thing to make sure before your arrival is to make a restaurant reservation. We did not have dinner in any of the restaurants because they were all fully booked. But room service food is also nice, and breakfast also offers wide selections with fresh bakeries.

We enjoyed a stay from 8/15-8/21 at this property, following a stay at one of our old favorite Bangkok hotels.
Our last Bangkok FS stay was at their previous property by the Royal Turf Club so we were eager to experience their (relatively) new location.
FS was accommodating in giving us connecting rooms as we had our 16 year-old son with us. We opted for premier river view rooms and had no regrets.
Every night there is a ‘parade’ of lighted dinner cruise boats along the Chao Phraya, which make for a relaxing show and evokes a bit of a festive feeling.
We enjoyed the pour-over coffee experience in the lounge lead by a personable young man (whose name I apologetically cannot recall).
The room layout is a bit unusual as others have commented but one can always find something to criticize if one so chooses.
The ice immersion bath was an interesting experience at the fitness center – perfect in the heat and humidity of SE Asia.
Housekeeping was spot-on. Almost without exception staff was always acknowledging/greeting you with ‘sawadee-ka/krap’.
Being able to casually have a meal or snack in the lounge/lobby area was great if you didn’t want the formality of the restaurants.
What we appreciated most was their accommodation of our son’s need for a space to practice his violin. He is a serious musician and while he is skilled (11+ years) we wanted a practice space that would not disturb other guests. FS generously granted us access to a room near the executive offices for his practice.
We’re nobody special, certainly not celebrities, just a family on vacation with a peculiar need.
And maybe that’s their secret, they try to accommodate you and make you feel like you are a bit of a celebrity, that you are special.
My wife has relatives in Bangkok and up-country so we visit Thailand regularly.
I think we have a new favorite hotel in Bangkok, certainly top 3 or so.

I called to the hotel today and have been asking for the stay with dogs. However operator staff informs me that policy only allow dogs which is under 27 kg. stays only and I have asked operator staff back what is the concern referred this policy, staff inform me that it’s because of the room size is not big enough to accompany dog which is bigger than 27 kg. So I ask back whether I can stay in a bigger room or not because my dog is 35 kg.
She just reply back “it’s policy” in Thai
Which I truly unsatisfied with her answer. I don’t mind if I couldn’t stay but she should be able to reply more politely and professionally as the hotel is considered as more than 5 stars hotel.
I personally used to work for four seasons hotel and been to every four seasons property in Thailand as a loyalty guest. My intention was only to show that how much I would like to spend time here but if it could not, I truly understand and accept that but there should be some more professional way of handle this case.
So if you are looking for pet friendly hotel in Bangkok -Kimpton Maa-Lai is the best!

Four Seasons Bangkok opened in a new location far from its previous downtown location to a quieter area by the Chao Phraya river. Once your ride enters the hotel ground, you are transported into another world. You get down your ride and someone takes care of your luggage while you are whisked away into their spacious lobby and into the check-in area.
You are then escorted to your room by the same receptionist and she shows you all the amenities of the room, including an iPad where you can message directly for any requests. Any requests you order through their iPad are then delivered to you promptly whether it’s ice, pillows, or first aid kit.
The bed is what you’d expect at a Four Seasons hotel. Bathroom amenities are by Byredo.
The hotel ground is impressive with tall pillars and the floor seems like it’s part of the river. There are different levels that lead you to an art space, the pool area, and restaurants. The gym is located on a quieter side of the hotel where classes are held daily and are free for guests.
Service is unassuming and sincere and during our stay it’s as if they timed when we were out to make our room.
BKK Social Club, #14 on the World’s Best Bars, lives up to its title. Philip, the chief mixologist who oversees the bar operations, make sure that the guests are properly attended and having a good time.
Breakfast is elegant and comes with a lovely view of the river if you dine al fresco.
Overall, it was a perfect stay for my birthday.

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in Bangkok and it was amazing! I had a premium river view room which had the most incredible views of the river and I couldn’t get enough of it. The food was also incredible. The French Brasserie served up delicious brasserie classics and seafood dishes, while the modern Italian restaurant had a stunning show kitchen and Lake Como vibe. The BKK Social Club was also fantastic, with amazing cocktails, craft spirits and cigars in a stylish and social atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be hosted by Phillip who was just exceptionally passionate about his craft and it really came across while enjoying his cocktails. On top of that, the hotel also has complimentary boat shuttles to nearby ICONSIAM and other destinations. All in all, it was a luxurious urban resort experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay in the city

Not sure what time of year you are going. We went in the summer. It was very buggy. You will not want to open the windows. You can probably write the property regarding your question. We also had an outside sitting area that was large with a fan to keep mosquitos away. At dusk there are secadas that are loud for an hour.
There is no free shuttle of any hotels in Bangkok from/to BKK airports as they are too far. Taxis are pretty easy to find outside the airport. Just follow the sign of taxi and get a number (choose what kind of taxi and go to the kiosk and get a tag where you see your taxi bay number). Cheap and easy. FS BKK only have limousine service that you can book directly with the hotel and will cost upward THB 3k per way depending on what type of car you book.
Shuttle boat is available between hotel and Sathorn Pier between 7am to 10pm every 30 minutes. From 10am onwards, the boat will also make a stop at Icon Siam at hourly intervals.

"Good from far. Far from good. If you don’t mind a coffin shop right across the street and getting disturbed by parties they can’t stop, then"Read full review
"Dine on property, try the bars, there are 2 7 Elevens nearby if you forget anything. Hotel limo is a nice way to tour the city."Read full review
