Really impressed with the hotel. Stayed in 4 other hotels in Thailand that week and this surpassed them all. Tucked away down a side street, still walking distance to Khao San/Rambuttri area but lovely and quiet, you can even hear the faint jingling of the bells in the temple which is to one side of the hotel. Well lit down...

The hotel is situated close to Khao San road (5-10 min walk). At first, we were surprised and a little worried by the neighborhoods: small soi, local people basically spending their time in the street, groups of motorcycles,... but eventually, the surroundings ended up being just typical and safe. Our room had two separate rooms and a good sized bathroom....

This is a simple little place thats a 10 min walk to ratburri village. It wont win any awards but its cheap, tidy, has a pool, a small gym, laundry room and offers breakfast. The staff are very pleasant and i was allowed to store my luggage at the hotel until my flight departed at 01:00. Maybe could do with...

This is a smaller hotel tucked away in a neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and main routes. The staff were all impeccable, the room was large and clean - with the exception of the poured concrete floor that had been somewhat beaten up, but if one overlooked the wear and tear, it was clean and the bed was comfortable....

We stayed at U-Place for our first two nights in town and enjoyed it so much we returned later that week. The hotel is clean, the front desk staff exceptionally helpful and immediately responsive, the pool is cool in a shaded location (after a long, hot day in Bangkok, you want COLD). I also loved the neighborhood. There is a...

We stayed here one night in attempt to sample this hotel in an area we frequent. The staff were very friendly. It's tucked away in a quiet ally away from major streets. The rooms are modern enough, nice simple bathroom (although a shelf for your toiletries would be very helpful), the bed is comfortable as was the air con though...

Stayed here for three nights whilst in Bangkok, the room was great, we had a clean and very large double bed. The TV had some English channels and lots of others. The bathroom was clean and the shower was ok, water pressure could've been a bit stronger but not an issue. There was a kettle and cups in the room...

A bit off the beaten track but this is a lovely hotel if you want to be slightly away from the madness of the khao san road. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are basic but spacious, modern and very clean. The beds are nice and big and it's exactly the type of place that you look for...

Don't go here! We have been to U Place many times as we visit Bangkok for business regularly. Our last stay at U Place will definitely be our 'LAST'!!! To be brief, we were there in sept (low season) and the hotel was almost empty. We had been there a few nights when we decided to leave some valuables in...

On behalf of the hotel we would like to clarify some details: 1. We have 16 security cameras in total, which are able to record all the public areas of our hotel. The cameras are from Sanyo (Japanese) and the recorder is from Eclipse (Korean). The products we use have been tested to a strict industrial standard, with the interface...

We stayed at U-place for two nights and we were very happy with it. We had a standard room and it was very modern, with lots of space. A big bed and a table with lounge seats. Good shower and toilet. You have your own refrigerator and safety deposit box. Every day you get two bottles of water for free!...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
