Bangkok is so hot and this hostel offers fan and air-con rooms. We stayed here twice because it is really cheap. We paid around £5 for a private room for 2 nights, albeit it was a fan, not an air-con room. Its a bit dirty but the staff are really lovely and helpful. The Indian food they serve downstairs is...

I really liked this place. My friend and I got a two bed room with air-con and bathroom ensuite for 250baht/piece which is about $7usd /pp (500 total=$14). This place directly across the street from Khaosan Road. Nice staff. Room was clean, no bed bugs, and they do have wifi. Checkout is noon! Highly recommend this place.they also have locked...

We booked a private fan room here for a day in Bangkok between flights so we would have a place to shower and store out luggage, bags, etc.. For the price and expectations it did the trick. It certainly could use a cleaning in the halls and areas going up to rooms but all in all, we thought it was...

The conditions were terrible. I have never been in such a squalid place. There was dirt on the walls, the toilet was unacceptable, and cockroaches were running all over the place. I didn't expect anything extraordinary for this price, but there are hostels with much better conditions for just a few bucks more.

Please don't listen to the negative reviews. This is budget accommodation at basement prices. Don't come with the preconceived idea of a 5 star hotel and remember this is Bangkok, not Dubai. Some of the comments on here are very naive. The facilities are adequate and the people running the hostel are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is out...

I stayed solo for two nights in a private room when staying in Bangkok. The room was small but had a comfy bed and even my own ensuite shower/ toilet. The only thing that lets this place down was cleanliness. I saw several cockroaches during my stay and my room had ants running around the floor. Even the sheets on...

The hostel is ok, no better or worse than others in khaosan road. Bit the location is seller and the restaurant is truly amazing. If you decide to stay somewhere else (I don't blame you...) you should still come for a meal. Suggest the vegetarian set (thali) which I think is less than 200thb

very poor hotel, the fungus on the walls, full of cockroaches, no air conditioning even though we booked rooms with air conditioning, deposit fell, but that's okay because within a radius of 200 meters is full of hotels with very good conditions even for 16 people on the spot. I do not recommend this hostel.

Location was great (if you like the hussle and bussle of Khao San) I would imagine that some would find it noisy but as a young couple it was perfect for us. Rooms are very basic but for the price what do you expect? Staff could have been friendlier but were helpful. The worst part about our night here was...

The best cheap choise for solo travellers, who want to rest in private room with own bathroom, but want to stay very close to Khao San. !But! you have to know what to expect from 10euros room - really small, with no window, but clean and relatively comfortable. Socket, pegs, hanger, bedside table and 1,5size bed are not always the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
