I alternated my stay here between a trek to Cambodia. I would compare this to a 'Holiday Inn' style hotel in the United States. It has a nicer and more attractive (to me) minimalistic decor. The first room I had was on the fifth floor, the air con was fairly loud, they pushed two twin beds together to make a...

We stayed at Glow as a starting off point in Bangkok. It's very close to two BTS stations (Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng) making it easy to move around, as well as the Patong markets. Service was very good, breakfast was quite decent... All in all, a very enjoyable place to stay. Oh, the swimming pool is in the complex...

Upon arrival, we were allocated a smoking room despite requesting a non smoking room. However, I showed my discontent and requested an upgrade at reception as I was told there were no non smoking rooms available. The manager eventually gave us an upgrade for free to another non smoking level. The room was fine. The main pro for this hotel...

When you are looking for a modern hotel with excellent service, a good breakfast, nice rooms with all modern facilities and not too expencive, then this is the place to be. The hotel is behind Silom Road, a little 10 minutes walk. I personally find the area, the walk from Silom to the hotel a bit scarry as a single...

I certainly recommend this hotel very highly because it is very well-situated in Bangkok, and the service is really brilliant. All staff are very helpful and very courteous. It is very clean and the food is fantastic. I do hope that all visitors to Bangkok stay in that outstanding hotel.

Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff very pleasant and courteous. Although pleasant and a nice experience for the price we paid, there wasn't anything in particular in terms of amenities (although full disclaimer I did not use the pool or fitness center) or service. If I go back to Bangkok I would try another hotel having already stayed...

Hotel is located in Silom area, so lots of great restaurants, massage places, shops, all in walking distance. BTS Chong Nonsi is very close to hotel which makes it easy to go around. Front desk was very adequate and provided great service. They even walked me to the nearest supermarket since I wasn't able to find the entrance. Pool and...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
