I've stayed here a few times now. The rooms are a good size but the lighting is a bit grim to be honest. The air-con is great when working but has broken down a few times. The pool on the roof is great, there is also a basic gym too. The location of the hotel is good, about 20ft away...

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times before this visit but was less happy this time. I have defended the hotel in the past when guests complain about cockroaches and complain in general. But this time I felt much less valued. Check in was fine but once in my room the safe wouldn't lock. I went to reception and...

This place lets itself down with some really basic problems. If you stay for a few nights on a 'hotel' basis it's ok. Cleanish and decent facilities for a good price. (900THB for a night in the smaller rooms, which are still a decent size for a short stay). If you stay for a month or longer it's very very...

Stayed for 2 nights in September, we are 2 adults and 2 children and had a 2 bedroom apartment. Apartment was large and needs a revamp but was to be expected with price. Bathroom was clean once again desperately needs a revamp. The corridor smelt musty but rooms were ok. Kids loved the rooftop pool. Staff were all extremely friendly...

The old "Hotel" is next to the Skytrain Station on Sathorn but nothing else in this area. and nothing else nice could be said about it, maybe the price of around $ 30,- but it sure is not a place for a longer stay unless you feel comfortable in cheap hotels despite that we had a "Deluxe" Room. Has very...

This place is right next to Surasak BTS, and at close walking distance to the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok which is handy for those applying for a Myanmar visa (which was the reason I chose this hotel; not sure why they call it Specialty Lodging on TA by the way; it is a hotel even though they offer long stay...

Located right in front of the Surasak BTS station the King Royal Garden Inn is a great hotel for people looking for common ammenities and comforts. The hotel shows signs of aging and isn't the prettiest inside, but the rooms are absolutely HUGE! Seriously, you could almost land a plane inside. There is WiFi on every floor and self serve...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
