White guys in their 50s fill the neighborhood looking for prostitutes. It's really gross. The hotel itself is adequate. I stayed in a 2 bedroom with three friends and we were comfortable. While the room is fine, the service is badly organized and at times difficult to reach. The hotel lost our reservation at check in and caused us to...

Omni tower apartments & Omni Syndicate apartments are pretty much one in the same a business within a business although the syndicate rooms or apartments tend to be cheaper. The building is on Sukhumvit soi 4 (nana) but several 100 yards away from the more seedy part of this street. It is for the most part an excellent place and...

Do NOT stay here unless you are only in Thailand to pick up young cheap Thai hookers, it's rank beyond description. I'd post photos of the stained walls and ceilings but I can't bring myself to look at them again. Take ear plugs and plug in air fresheners if you have to stay here.

The 'syncate' is very strange, and separate from the hotel itself. The room decor is laughable (pathetic) and hallway rug is worn, but it has a washer (no dryer), and basic cooking as well as a refrigerator. The maid does an excellent job each day. That said, the place is annoying - especially the 'guard' at the doorway to the...

Stayed here for 38 nights recently in a one bedroom apartment. Staff excellent as was the location. Noisy air-con and the place needed a coat of paint. Was on the 31st floor but never had to wait more than 30 seconds for the elevator. Was informed that costs of water and electric were included to a point. Turned the air-con...

If your looking for a real high class living close to the city center, this is the place. I wouldnt compare it to a hotel, it feels much more like home. Ideal for longer stays. My stay was back in 2007 and i stayed here for about 2 months, couldnt be more happy.

This was not a pleasent stay. Very old hotel, shabby and filthy. Bad smell, ants in the room and would you belive it, no telephone in the room!! Roomservice had to go and by a new phone and install it!! Best thing about the hotel is that we had our breakfast next door at the Iris Hotel. So next time...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
