After three days of roughiung it looking after eleophants at "ElepantStay' (see separate review) we spoilt ourselves with our last day of our holiday at The Bhuthorn. We are in the accommodation industry owning three self-contained 4.5 STAR properties in the Barossa Valley so we know a bit about how things should be done. The Bhuthorn does it all. quality,...

Stayed here for 3 nights in clean but small room. Large double bed was the most uncomfortable bed I'd ever slept on, being rock hard. Bathroom was ok, no bath but a decent shower. Air con and free water in room. Staff always on hand and very helpful, their afternoon iced tea was a delight. Their breakfasts were also delightful,...

We stayed here as part of a Christmas/New Year's trip. Awesome location - 10 min walk from Grand Palace, 20 min from Reclining Buddha Staff was terrific. Very helpful. Excellent English, willing to help flag down cabs, tuk tuks. Quaint place with just 3 rooms. Very intimate. Breakfasts were included on our stay. Fabulous cappuchinos, and fresh fruit and yogurt...

We recently spent two nights at the enchanting Bhuthorn, a beatifully restored shophouse in a very well located conservation area, now turned into a three bedroomed guesthouse. The family that run the Bhuthorn are delightful, very helpful and friendly. Our room, "Bhuthorn" was well furnished and very comfortable. Breakfasts and tea were delicious. We found our room a little noisy...

A boutique hotel very close to the Grand Palace is so homey and beautifully restored. The rooms are romantic, exquisite, all different styles and very comfortable. I felt like I was back in old Siam with modern conveniences. Chitlada, the owner, served us fabulous breakfasts, great espresso drinks, and helped us with normal tourist advice as well as some difficult...

Decorated with the owners’ personal collection of antiques and Thai arts and craft, the Bhuthorn is an elegant place to live in. The building itself is more than 100 years old and it was faithfully restored by the owners who are architects themselves. The beds are firm and comfortable and the rooms were beautifully decorated. We had a pleasant breakfast...

My friend and I had the lucky fortune to spend 1 night here at the start of our Southeast Asia vacation and another 2 nights at the tail end - WOW, we LOVED this place! Breakfasts are yummy, location is great for the Grand Palace, plus the street food joints around the corner are soooo good!!! enjoy!

Our taxi driver had trouble finding the Bhuthorn (pretty common, apparently) and after driving through some dark alleys we weren't so sure about this hotel. But as soon as we got to the door, we had a lovely warm welcome and knew we'd come to the right place. Each room is decorated with the most elegant antiques and gorgeous tiles....

We stayed three nights at The Bhuthorn, it was a perfect start to our holiday, in every way. I cannot really add any new comments that have not been expressed already - just believe the reviews. We really enjoyed Bangkok, I believe a big part of this was down to The Bhuthorn.

This was the start of our Honeymoon and it was a great start! No anonymous getting lost in a big fancy hotel, but a very personal service that has one true purpose: making you feel comfortable and in a state of well being. The setup of the hotel is unique, charming and very intimate. But their most valuable asset is...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
