This was my first time back in BKK since January 2020 and I was required to book a SHA hotel by the Thai government as part of their Thai Pass program. I have stayed at the HR many times in the past so when I saw it offered as an SHA hotel even at the high price of 7800 Baht I booked it. Everything went smooth at the airport and the Hyatt car drove me to Bumrumgrad hospital for my arrival Covid test at 1 am then to the hotel. Upon arrival I was escorted to my room 911 and told I should order breakfast room service. When I did that in the morning after I spoke with someone who I told what I wanted to have brought by room service after 30 min I get a knock on my door. There stood a guy with 2 brown mini shopping bags. Where is my room service BF which ordered on the phone? Well here it is. No knife, no salt/pepper or butter over cooked fried cold eggs, cold cup of coffee/no cream etc. Couldn't eat the food and I paid 7800 baht for the SHA package. AS a Globalist right off the bat I deserved better quality or for that anyone else paying that rate. Since that day I have stayed at the HR 2 nights and it was fine but the SHA deal is crap for the price. I would not recommend this hotel as an SHA. You would need to pack you own sandwiches from home. I happened to do that just in case and it really came in handy.

Probably the best service in Bangkok. Very friendly staff at check in, the club lounge was excellent and breakfast was the best, Khun Bella I have to say was outstanding and breakfast was great. Top Bangkok hotel!

Impressed with all elements here, hotel facilities and services are superb. The staff in executive lounge and Khao restaurant are so friendly and full of service mind. I believe this is one the best hotels in Bangkok and I will definitely come back.

Having just received Globalist status earlier this and with Thailand opening back up for travel, I really wanted to try the Bangkok Hyatt offerings. This hotel was most friendly and easiest to deal with via email for setting up booking for the Test and Go packages currently needed for entry into the country. Our arrival was pretty flawless from pick up at the airport, the drive thru testing on the way to the hotel and check-in to our first day quarantine room. We did not need to do any check-in formalities, they took us straight up to the room. The room was a standard room on the 8th floor. You cant leave the room and will not get a key until the test results are back. Ours came back in about 2.5hours but we spent extra for the fast track testing. Later in the day we were able to switch to a regular room and since no suites were available for upgrade we were upgraded to a corner deluxe room. We found this room to be very spacious and well laid out. Modern and comfortable. I did find the carpets to be a little worn and there were stains on the sofa though, this is not good of course. If the room we were in during the quarantine period is typical of a standard room, I dont think I would like it to be honest. The usage of the closet as a wall for the bathroom is more of something a lower end property would do versus a higher end property. We had access to the Regency Club and it was nice that it was open although they did not serve breakfast they did have an afternoon snack offering and evening drinks and appetizers. All were of good quality with excellent service. I especially liked the terrace, although they do allow smoking on it unfortunately. Breakfast was at the main restaurant on the 4th floor and had enough options for all tastes I think both Western and Asian. I felt that service was excellent at breakfast each day. I was here during the week and it was not crowded or chaotic at all, that may have been because it was during the week and not weekend though. I though the pastries where particularly good. The staff was the highlight of breakfast though. Only complaint would be that breakfast does not start until 7AM, that is too late in my opinion. We dined at the Thai restaurant one evening as it was convenient. While it was really good quality of food and service and my wife and brother in law loved the all you can eat prawns.......it was just fancy Thai food and you are probably better off eating outside of the hotel. I did not go to Spectrum as the menu was not appealing to me and the lobby bar was really not that attractive of a setup either. I really wish there was more a standard bar offering with better food options. I did go to the pool area one day but it was not a very attractive space. I dont know if it is setup different due to covid but not very inviting setup. Maybe ok for a dip but did not want to return which was unfortunate. The location is pretty solid with very easy access to the Nana BTS station and you can walk to Terminal 21 and the Asoke station also easy enough if you are mobile. I really enjoyed my stay and I will definitely consider this property to be on the top of my list for future stays. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the stains on the furniture as a higher end property should notice and have those cleaned.

It's a shame that you didn't get the chance to visit Spectrum with selected Grill menus and we hope that you will be able to do so in the future. For your reference, the setup of the pool area has been the same since the opening of the hotel and with the tropical trees and garden around, it provides a bit of an oasis in the middle of the city. We bought a package Japan I miss you. The room come with club lounge. Food and drinks provided there more than enough for dinner. It's not just an appetizer. We've also got Japanese dinner with the package which serve in the room as well as Kagigori dessert. The room was very nice. Good food, great service. We had a very good time that weekend <3
